This is a quality 12V - 2A power supply with a connector for wire leaded equipment. I was working on a home project that had only wire leads for hooking up power. I was near the point of exhaustion looking through thousands of look-alike power supplies on Amazon when I finally hit pay dirt. I was about to give up and buy a power supply and cut off the connector to expose the wire leads for the hookup, when I found this one. Instead of using some kludge to solve the problem, this power supply has a nifty jack to wire connection adapter. You plug in the power supply to 120VAC, plug the output jack into the adapter and connect your wires to the adapter. It takes a very small screwdriver to reach the screws. It also takes a good set of eyes to see the "+" and "-" identifiers on the adapter. They are very tiny and it might be advisable to use a voltmeter to double check the polarity if there is the least doubt. There is a down side that doesn't affect anything in particular: In general, I'm not familiar with all the power supply output jacks available, but the one on this supply LOOKS a little different from most that I've noticed. It might not be compatible with sockets you are already using, and I don't know how you'd ever find a match for it. All I can say is that it saved me a bunch of trouble and at a little over $7, it is a bargain for those who need to connect wires to a power supply rather than through connectors, this is a best buy. I give thanks that I managed to find it, and 5 stars for professionally solving my problem.

Used this to make a homemade boombox lol and recharges my battery hooked to a 12v car stereo perfectly, I will say the ports that u put the wires in will only take small gauge wire as in small like factory car wiring

Works well for application

Not exactly 12v but close enough. Good price. The cord is a decent length. So far, no problems. But, if you’re using these with LEDs you’ll need to use resistors.

I didn't do any measurements, but it lights the strips of LED lights I am using under kitchen counters to light the work surfaces. The original power supply had failed, and these works well in its place. I like the blue indicator light on the power supply.

I installed this under my kitchen sink to run 3 circular under-cabinet lights. The problem I was having was I replaced the original halogen bulbs with LED lights (which only drew 1.3 watts each) and when I turned them on using the old transformer they no longer worked. So this replaced a transformer that was apparently looking for more draw (which the halogen bulb gives) So if I wanted the old one to work, I needed to have at least one halogen bulb in one of the lights. But as anyone who has those knows, they get hot as Hades in summer. I took a gamble and bought the "12 Volt / 2 Amp - 1 Pack". I cut the two cables attached to the halogen transformer, stripped the tips back a little to expose the wire, and put the black into the negative screw-down receptacle, and the red into the positive screw-down receptacle. Then...BAM!! Flip the switch and Let There Be Light! For the first time in two years, I was able to reliably turn my LED lights on and off. I have tried to keep this as simple as possible for any lay-person to understand. But this turned out to be perfect for what I needed.

I use a lot of these in my projects. They are wall built and durable. I especially like the output adaptor that allows for positive and negative wire connections. If your looking for this type of power supply, I would highly recommend this one.
