The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy

Amazing movie...Must have for every LOTR fan. Delivery took ages. And the CD box was partially damaged (on the inside)

Although it's the most common edition, I believe it's a good product and with and exelent price. If you are not a very found of the extended version of this movies, this is definitely your product.

What else is there to say, it's the Lord of The Rings Trilogy on Bluray in a nice space and cost effective package. Amazing movies, great nostalgia and immersion for new viewers and old viewers alike. One Bluray I've refused to let go of since purchasing.

I bought this cuz it's cheap. Are the Theatrical versions better than the Extended versions? No. However, FotR BR Extended has a strange green cast - it's not ruinous, but having owned that on DVD (regular and later extended) I thought it was odd that they would implement such a change. This BR transfer is not top notch - highlights are blown out in places - but it's still good, and has no green cast. And besides, having exclusively watched the Extended versions for the last 20 years, NOT seeing things is now a surprise in itself. Did Gandalf speak the black tongue in Rivendell? Well, not in the Theatrical version. Now I have to wonder if that was made up in my head. Surprise. One place the Theatrical does beat the Extended versions all to heck and back is the credits - if you like to sit through credits and enjoy the music and come to a natural conclusion. The Extended have the same credits, then segue into a thanking of the entire population of Bethesda, Maryland that takes, roughly, 10 lifetimes and feature, yes, great music, but not the natural symphonette of the Theatrical Editions. Could I not just turn it off when the original credits end? Yes, but that would require me to DO something. Here, I enslave Peter Jackson 2001 and make him do it for me. But, these are cheap. So cheap you could buy them by the handful and hand them out for Halloween. I believe I paid in the vicinity of $5 which, if you think about it, is a major miracle - to get 3 shiny coasters with 100s of millions of dollars of NZ ingenuity and talent, telling the greatest story ever told, and you can say no to that? Even at the current $13? I don't think so. And if you turn your back on this miracle then your children will someday have no choice but to watch these movies on some sort of streaming with commercials for all kinds of unspeakable male aids that Tolkien would have declared to be the work of Morgoth himself. Don't let this happen to the young. Buy now.

Me decidí adquirir el producto que se indica con antelación toda vez que, desde la edad aproximada de siete años, mi padre me regaló las novelas de Tolkien, pasaron varios lustros y a principios del siglo XXI miré el trailer; fui al cine, ansioso, y no olvidaré la sensación de asombro, era una ebriedad extrema en los sentidos. Miré a Gandalf, a los espectros del anillo, Imladris, el demonio de ceniza y fuego con su látigo ígneo, era tal y como me lo imaginaba cuando leí las novelas por primera vez. Ahora compro la triología en formato blu-ray y mi compra fue satisfactoria en todos los sentidos, el producto llegó sin demora, sin daños físicos, un buen precio y lo más importante, todo por una obra magistral, (lo afirmo con certitud no disputable). inside the case the first disc cannot be held, the support was broken. but the movies are fine and can be seen clearly without any problem.
