St.Tropez Gradual Tan Classic Daily Firming Lotion Medium/Dark | Self Tanner

Great tan, good colour & easy to apply. Good value.

I'm naturally very pale and I always find it uncomfortable going out in the beginning of summer because I look like a ghost. Just one use and I'm gently tanned, perfect to take the edge off. It's a lotion consistency which glided onto my skin with my tanning mitt and blended nicely when I added some pressure as it dries so quickly. It's very dark to start with, I looked like I'd been to Greece for a week. Once applied it dries pretty quickly so you're fine to get dressed (I'd just stay away from white just in case). I left it on for 8 hours staying away from water then washed my hands and face because I was worried about it getting too dark and went to bed. (8 hours was enough I'd just seen a lot of people saying they slept in it so I figured why not.) Next morning I washed off the darker layer and a beautiful golden tan had developed. I love this product and don't understand some of the negative reviews, it's not a green colour, if anything it's like a reddish brown, and the consistency is like a lotion not water although I did shake the bottle first so maybe it separates. It also smells gently of coconuts but isn't that noticeable especially the next day.

Sooooo good. LOVE that you can see where it is going! Doesn't smell. Although I do think it transfers quite a bit, so I use like a instant tan.

Fantastic product! As someone who has very pale skin, I've used tons of different types of fake tan at all kinds of prices. But this is the only one I keep returning to and it never lets me down. Quite scary when you first use it as the colour looks like black tar on the tanning mit! But it does not stay like that and it is a big advantage as you can see exactly where you are applying it. Bear in mind that it is important that you work it into your skin well to get the desired effect. If you are looking for something to slap on quickly this might not be the product for you. However if you want something that gives a really even, natural long lasting tan with no orange tones, then this is worth considering. It also wears really evenly and does not have that horrid fake tan biscuity scent. Can highly recommend!

I have extremely pale skin and use a lot of different brands of fake tan. I thought I’d give this one a try. Firstly I found that it rubbed in very easily and dried pretty quickly. I liked the tint as it left my skin looking more sun kissed and showed my any bits I’d missed. I found the fragrance to be quite a strong but not unpleasant smell, but I could definitely smell the recognisable fake tan smell when it started to develop. I left the tan on overnight and I find that it didn’t stain the bed sheets which was good, however, when I had my shower - just using water where I’d put the fake tan, the colour just washed off. I completely understand that this is a tan that needs to develop over a few days of use, but after reapplying this cream over 4 consecutive days, I still looked as pale as I did before I started. This obviously works for others, but for me I found it utterly useless. I wouldn’t buy again.

It’s been a good few years since I used fake tan and this came out well on the reviews. It’s the best I’ve ever used, it doesn’t smell odd, nor of biscuits, it stains your skin enough for you to have an immediate natural looking tan and, even better, it doesn’t rub off on your clothes or bedding. It did build a light tan over a few days (I’ve got very pasty white legs which take forever to tan naturally) which remain even throughout this time. I love that I don’t have to use it all the time and one application is enough to have a good colour if I decide to get my legs out last minute.

I don’t know why San Tropez changed this product’s formula. It’s nothing like the original. It dries quickly and it’s a garish greeny colour on initial application. Very difficult to blend and smooth, you have to treat it like a normal full fake tan - apply with gloves, at night, dark pjs, don’t touch anything etc. I don’t understand the difference between this one and the moose except that the moose is easier to apply and you get a pay off for all your hard work. Unlike with this one, as much of the work as a full fake tan but the results are ‘gradual’. I don’t get it. Can’t face using it again.

Es una buena crema, pero ojo que si eres clara de piel, tiñe mucho. Puse bastante cantidad en mi primera aplicación y me dio de resultado el moreno que podría tener después de todo el verano, o sea, bastante. Lo único que no me gusta es el olor a coco que tiene y que deja ciertos brillitos dorados, pero me la volvería a comprar.

Tinted one is so cool. Its black what was little shocking at first but its really works well and give instant tan. Will buy more. Perfect solution for instant great tan. Just make sure to use mitt while applying.

Okay so admittedly at first I thought I’d be leaving a different review coming from using the old formula for so long; however, after I realized a little goes a long way with this new formula I am in love! I used too much initially when I started applying the lotion on my leg. It dries fast (which I love!) but using too much made it a little cakey. I washed that off my leg and started again using much less lotion and it went on amazingly. It is darker so makes it much easier to make sure you hit all the spots for less streaking (which I had none of and I started off super pale). Having a green tint makes it look SO much more natural (research it!) and I cannot get over how good it smells comparatively to the old formula and other lotions. I put it on before I went to bed and after I showered the next morning it looked great. Wish I had before and after pictures. Cannot recommended this enough, if not for all the other great things at least for the amazing scent!

the only tanning cream that is dark but doesn't look fake on me!!! love it
