I needed to change from pencil to a cream as the pencil seems to leave little round bits of color no matter how I try to use the brush at the end. It seems as brush removes more color that the small bits. I purchased medium brown and to my eye seems like a brownish black. It matches my hair so that's a plus. I was using a pencil that was more brown and I liked that too. I have to be careful when using e.l.f. brow cream as a little bit goes a long way. I barely tap the brush in the cream and I get a lot of color. So far I am pleased as it goes on smoothly and looks more natural than the pencil, which is what I was aiming for. Seems long wearing, but will wait for summer and see how it goes.

In my late forties I realized I was slowly losing my eyebrows as my hair became more grey. Filling them in was by far the single biggest thing I could do for my face to look brighter and younger. Previously I had seriously underestimated how important full brows are to "complete" one's face. I tried DOZENS of brow gels, powders, liners - you name it I tried it. This inexpensive gel is a powerhouse. It goes on naturally with a small brow brush and stays put. It even stays put when I workout, and yet it comes off easily at night with a bit of gentle face soap. There are enough color choices to be able to select the one that is more flattering. If you have grey hair like me, pro tip is to go lighter than you think. I have this on repeat purchase. It's a winner.

I bought this expecting a true light brown, but it’s way darker than the name suggests. I even double checked the label during application because I thought maybe I was sent the wrong shade, but no; it really does say “light brown.” I wore it to a doctor’s visit and felt self conscious because it looked much bolder than I wanted. If you’ve ever used e.l.f.’s brow pencil in taupe, imagine that shade, only about three times darker. The formula itself isn’t bad; it applies smoothly and has good staying power; but the shade description is very misleading

Really great product

Product arrived dried out and cracked right down the middle. It was so dry I couldn't get any product onto a brush, or even onto my finger to warm it before applying it. Completely unusable and may have to go straight into the bin if I can't mix it with an oil or something so make it workable again. As a product, I usually love this to make my brows nice and bold. It normally lasts very well and the shade it pretty good for me. However, I'll be buying direct from e.l.f next time.

I bought the Light Brown brow cream and it is a little too dark for me which is the only reason why I knocked off a star. However, using it more sparingly and applying it lightly helps keep it lighter, so I'm still able to use it. Stays on really well. Next time I'll be buying the lighter shade, and it think it'll be perfect!

This was recommended to me, and I can see why, despite a slightly iffy start. You only need to use a little of this to have a lot of impact. It is a soft product and initially I was using way too much but found that if I use one brush to get the tiniest amount of product out of the pot that I can manage, and then a second brush to lift the product from the first brush, I can get the perfect and most realistic results in seconds. Once in place and dry, it doesn’t budge, and it’s that good I’ve used it as eye-liner and eye shadow, too, when my other make up was disappearing in the heat. My skin can be sensitive, and although I did patch test, I had no issues with the test or in actual use. Recommended.
