impressive for an erasable pen - heat sensitive ink
Way back in the 90's, I used erasable pens constantly for note taking and writing in college/grad school. They were a beast back then (the ink sort of blobbed onto the paper as opposed to flowing, it smudged all over, and the erasing was moderate at best). Even though I'm not in school anymore, I still like to write long-hand, but somehow the *presence* of an eraser makes it easier for me just *write* and not be indecisive about everything I put down on paper. I heard about these FriXion pens on a web site and I *had* to try them. Flowing LIQUID gel-ink and a true eraser without all the crumbly/smudgy stuff? I needed to try and see if it were true. It is indeed true. These are true liquid ink pens (not ballpoint) that flows from the barrel smoothly. And it erases SUPER cleanly. The ink is heat-sensitive so it it removed via heat, and not the actual material of the eraser. So the eraser on the pen is more like a tool for making heat (hence the friction) and nothing that is rubbed onto the paper. The penbs are great, except for a few things: - the ink is really a dark grey color. It's NOT completely opaque, it's almost translucent grey. If you like that super-inky-black color, this is not a good pen for you. - every time you use the pen, you have to put a good deal of pressure on it for the ink to flow. So the first few marks you make will be either super light/scratchy or not show up at all. - You really do need to write with a little bit of pressure to get the ink to keep flowing. So it's not as easy as writing with a regular gel pen. - the eraser is on the area of the pen you'd cover with the cap when the pen is open, which makes no sense to me. - the super fine point is a little scratchy and my handwriting looks a little bit "shaky" writing with it. It's not as smooth as some other super fine points I have used, but a general quality of a fine point pen is a tiny bit of scratchiness so it's par for the course, I guess. finally, and this can be a pro or con- the ink in these pens are completely heat sensitive. I just hit it with my heat gun for a quick second (used for crating) and the ink disappeared instantly. Pretty cool to watch (it's like in a spy movie!) but if you are doing a project where you need to apply heat in any shape to your materials, the marks from this pen will disappear. I'm excited about the way I can use this in my art projects. All in all, these are super cool pens, and the best erasable pens I have ever used. I wish they sold a bottle of this ink so I could use it in more applications.

WAY BETTER than pencils.
These are the best pens I didn't know I needed. I bought them when my Sharpie liquid pencil ran out to do crossword puzzles with. These write smoothly, don't dry out when you leave the cap off for a day or 5, erase cleanly without leaving little bits of eraser everywhere. I love the ultrafine tip (0.5mm) for precision lettering - what can I say, I like a good pen and this fits the bill. I'll buy in every color. Super impressed so far...

Love the Pen, Not the Eraser Design
I absolutely love Pilot FriXion erasable pens. I own a lot of them, easily close to 100, and they are my go-to pens every day. My only complaint with this particular model is the eraser design. The eraser is hidden when the cap is placed on the back of the pen. Like most people, I remove the cap while writing and put it on the opposite end so I don’t lose it. Unfortunately, doing that covers the eraser, so every time I need to erase, I have to remove the cap again. This becomes inconvenient because I don’t always have a good place to set the cap down without risking losing it. All of my other FriXion pens with caps have the eraser built into the top of the cap, which avoids this issue entirely. I really wish this pen followed that same, more practical design.

Best Pens EVER
I will never stop buying these pens, I love them. They have a super fine line, and a great flow of ink. I do wish I could find ink refills however. These pens have pretty much replaced pencils for me. I love erasing, and I love writing in pen! Yes, the ink color is not your expected dark black, but I like the almost vintage look of it. Again, I think these are just the best pens ever. I would definitely recommend, I have bought them multiple times for myself and my daughters!

Go-To Pen For Rocketbook
These pens are perfect for writing in my rocketbook. The thinner tip allows me to write smaller and it dries faster so less accidental smudging. My go to pen, I have ordered many times

Great Alternative to Pencils!
I have horrible handwriting. So horrible that all of my professors commented on it this last semester. In an effort to alleviate their challenge in reading my essays following test days, my fiancee nabbed me these pens. They erase easier (and cleaner) than pencils. The eraser itself does not wear out or leave "eraser dust." They are finer tipped than any pencil I can manage to write with (I constantly break my mechanical pencil's graphite). To boot, they are darker than pencils and provide better contrast for reading. All in all, these are my new favorite writing utensils (whenever I do not need a #2 pencil and whenever I can not use a computer anyway)!

Ideal for Rocketbook, but Consider Thicker Lines
The Pens offer an impressive fine line, but I did encounter an issue with the first one running out of ink after just a couple of uses. They work seamlessly with Rocketbook notebooks, adding an extra layer of convenience. However, for those who prefer a bolder stroke, I recommend exploring options with a thicker line. Overall, a great choice with a minor caveat.

This pen is really cool. I heard about it on a quilting site. If you draw on fabric with this pen and then iron the fabric, the ink disappears. Awesome. But there is a small caveat. They say if the pen stops working, put it in the freezer so I wrote on a small scarp of fabric, ironed it (poof, writing gone) and then I put the fabric in the freezer. The writing started to come back. So if you're using this for sewing, be aware of that. Chances are your sewing is going to be in the freezer or get cold enough for the ink to reappear but it's a possibility and something to be aware of before making any markings on something that may potentially reappear in the future.

I am amazed at how well an error is erased with the frixion eraser - no ghosts left behind. I bought multiple packs in .7 and .5 thickness in black, red, and blue and have purchased them for others because they too loved these pens. I highly recommend these. If I had one complaint it would be that the ultra fine .5 width black pen’s ink could be a truer black as the .7 is. The .5 width is my preference but at this thickness these pens are dark grey. The .7 thickness is a blackest black.

I love this pen! I use it for puzzles, playing games with the family, notes and most importantly rough copies! I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to writing so rough copies can be annoying. This pen makes it so easy to erase mistakes. It write smooth. The ink is more like a grey-black, it looks like a dark pencil. If you write over it again, it darkness to black. It is completely erasable even when I scribble. I seriously love this pen so much I ordered it in blue too. I’m itching to buy the other colours. So far I have tried a lot of things to make the ink fade and it hasn’t. Keep in mind that the ink is thermal ink, so it will fade if it becomes hot. A lot of people say that you can just put it in the freezer to get back all the ink. I wouldn’t use this pen for important documents but it’s really useful for the things I listed above and more.

I'm not sure why I didn't expect that an erasable gel pen wouldn't work, but as a cheap add-on item I figured I'd give them a try. Well, they do work! They look similar to other fine tip gel pens I have, with the added bonus of being able to erase them. Only complaint is the weird tribal tattoo pattern on the pen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
