Kept us bone-dry while cheering on the Hoosiers!
I bought the PTEROMY Hooded Rain Poncho for the big weekend — yes, the Indiana Hoosiers vs. the Ducks in Oregon — and it did exactly what I wanted it to: keep me dry and let me enjoy the game without suffering through the downpour. Here’s what stood out: What I loved: • The waterproof material really held up — no leaks or soaked layers underneath the poncho. (A few people in cheaper gear looked like wet noodles. I didn’t.) • Big enough to throw it on over my usual layers (no awkward fit). A few reviewers say it works well over a backpack or extra bulk. • Handy extras: the front zipper makes it easier to get on/off (especially important when you’re already dripping), and the hood brim/visor kept rain off my face so I could watch the game without water streaking my glasses. • Great value for what it did. For the price, it held up better than the thin plastic “emergency” ponchos we used in the past. A couple things to know: • If the wind picks up, being a poncho means it can billow a bit. For an outdoor stadium with wind + rain combo, you may still feel a bit of raindrops on your legs or sides. (Some users note this is more of a “good for rain” than “storm shell” situation.) • It’s roomy — so when you’re sitting (especially in stadium seats), make sure it’s tucked around your sides so rain doesn’t drip under. • When temps drop, ponchos aren’t always as warm as a fitted rain jacket + layers. If it’s cold AND rainy, bring a good base layer underneath. My verdict: If you’re heading to a game (or another rainy-outdoor event) and just want to stay comfortable and dry, this poncho is a solid choice. It did what it was supposed to for me during the Hoosiers’ big win — and I’ll keep it in the car or bag for future outdoor events. Highly recommend.

Solid Quality and Very Versatile
The fit and overall quality of this poncho are very good. The material feels durable but still lightweight, the seams are well sealed, and the buttons and hood brim help a lot in wind and rain. I really like that it can be used for more than just rain protection, laying it flat as a tarp or using it to cover gear makes it much more useful for camping and hiking. It packs down small, dries quickly, and is easy to carry in a bag. I plan to buy and try a couple more ponchos, but this one is definitely a keeper based on the quality alone.

It makes me look like a sugar glider...
If you like sugar gliders like I do, this rain poncho is for you! In all seriousness though, I'm rather pleased with this rain poncho. I purchased the "antique foliage" color option with the 1/4 zipper, and there are several strengths I immediately noticed while using this product: - It's big, so it fits lots of body shapes/sizes. I'm about 5' 2"/135 lbs, so it's big on me, but I, as well as the bag I kept on my arm and under the poncho (or the contents would have gotten wet), were VERY protected from the rain. - The material is pretty durable/strong yet flexible and lightweight. I was a little worried about ripping it, such as on a screw of a stadium chair, but the material isn't as flimsy as I was worried it would be. The fact that it's lightweight was also a really nice feature; I felt comfortable wearing the poncho the entire time it rained (which was the entire time the concert was going on) and the rain didn't add any additional, noticeable weight to it. - While browsing for a poncho, I was concerned about what the hood would look like. To my joy, it's rounded, so I didn't feel like there was a point at the top of my head when I had the hood up. Also, the visor actually kept the rain away from my face! - There's a subtle pocket at the front of the poncho. While I wasn't planning on using it (as I was curious/weary about how waterproof this poncho actually was - since I wasn't able to touch it in a store or something), it was really handy, as I was able to keep my phone there for easy access. - I thought the 1/4 zipper was handy, as it was easier to put the poncho on and off with the zipper down. The only weakness I noticed was that it smelled really, really odd when I took it out of the bag and wore it. I couldn't place what the smell is, unfortunately, but it smelled dirty - perhaps like it was used and/or like a chemical had been used on it? If you're sensitive to smells, consider washing this product a few times before you wear it or it might bother you.

I would buy again
Overall the product is well made. It is lightweight but durable. The hood doesn't flap around like most do or interfere with hearing as much as some others do. Overall length down legs isn't bad as I am only 5' 3" so it stops just below my knee. I just wish it was a little longer on the arms (width) by maybe 3-4 inches, your arms are protected as long as you keep them tucked, but if you pull them out and raise them for any reason you become exposed up to about the elbow. Could also argue for a 3rd snap down the sides minimizing gaping between the two existing ones when you do raise your arms. A gust of wind caught me on the side and opened it up like a giant balloon and I got quite wet. Overall I would still buy this product as it gets the job done wrestling 2 kids to and from the bus stop without me having to fight an umbrella on top of it. I also like the bright neon color of it as it makes sure I get noticed by cars while crossing the street, used to be people would fly by almost hitting us, now they see us well beforehand and actually stop. Meaning I have also become the unofficial neighborhood crossing guard on rainy/foggy days.

Title: Great Quality and Perfect for Events
We bought this poncho for my girlfriend to use at the Oasis concert, and it worked perfectly. The design is very nice, the storage pouch is compact and easy to carry, and the material feels durable and truly waterproof. It kept her dry the entire time and was comfortable to wear. A very reliable option for concerts or outdoor activities.

Nice rain poncho. Perfect for my need. The print is great and the nylon seems fine tough thin. This is a great emergency rain poncho. One thing I need to add: It is very easy to fold and fit back into its pouch. I've been wearing it quite a few times and it keeps me and my chair's control dry

The zipper is a nice touch on this brand's poncho. I'm 5'7 and the arm length is great. My 6'3 friend tried it on and the arms go to just past his elbows so his arms would get wet. Hood is a good balance between big and roomy and not too loose to let wind and rain in. I normally buy big hoods and I'm happy. The visor is functional. Haven't worn it outside yet.
