I still haven't tried this oil for cooking, only as a skin moisturizer, but from the delicious smell I can tell it will be wonderful. It basically smells like hazelnuts, which is fantastic, and a natural moisturizer it is so far the best natural remedy for my excessively dry hands, and it does not feel too greasy which is great. I am sure the taste is just fantastic with food as well. Unfortunately, the packaging was damaged and the oil was leaking inside. Amazon was helpful as always in this regard, but I hope this can be fixed. You can tell from the way the cap is made that it is just not the best seal.

I was in a tea house over by the zoo in Taipei and ordered some noodles that came with this kind of oil that just blew me away- It is subtle as a sauce and kind of addictive! I find myself getting every tiny drop from the bowl as i finish eating:-) I like to put in a few minced green onions, a touch of salt and just this oil. No sesame oil or anything like that.. So good!

I've never tried this oil but I have used peanut oil for cooking so many times. This oil smells like peanut oil. I don't know if that's it's true smell. It came as at when they said it will come. However, I'm yet to use.

Been waiting a bit to write this, as I hate leaving a bad review, but... This is not camellia oil. It is peanut oil. Friend had a reaction to it. Wondering if the label was put on the wrong product. Smells and tastes like peanut oil and it smells rancid. Very sad due to how expensive this was. Probably just a one off.

I know that tea seed (camellia) oil is simply more nutritious than olive oil. It can raise good cholesterol and help to protect blood vessels and etc., great oil for human body. My mom used to cook with camellia oil when I was little. I am really happy I found it here because it reminded me of my childhood in Taiwan.

This tea oil is genuine high quality, but the mouth of the bottle has poor design, it drips after each pouring. Very annoying. All other brands have a special tip insert that prevents dripping. I sent a letter to the company suggesting they should have a spill proof insert at the lip of bottle like other brands. Hope they will do so.
