Yes, it is stiffer when you first get it but I stitch in hand and find no problems doing so with this fabric. It definitely gets softer as you use it and stitch. For this package of aida, I wanted to try the tea/coffee dyeing method and it worked beautifully. The finished fabric came out wonderful and I can't wait to stitch on it.
