Are these hard to put together? Is the light a bright daylight?

How do you like it for just for a motion sensor?

AloftSun Solar Motion Sensor Outdoor Lights offer three smart lighting modes, in the video you can see it works very well. Mode 1 - Motion Sensor+Dim Light Mode: Press the power button at 1st time, the lights will flash once and then enter a Dim-light Mode. When it detects motions, it will enter into a Bright-light Mode, and will return to Dim-light Mode in 30 seconds later if it detects no new motions. Mode 2 – Stay on Medium+Bright Light Mode: Press the power button at 2nd time, then the lights will flash for 2 times and enter into a Medium Light Stay-on Mode. Mode 3 - Motion Sensor+Bright Light Mode: Press the power button at 3rd time, the lights will flash for 3 times and then go off. When it detects motions, it enters into a Bright light Mode and will automatically go off in 30 seconds if no new motion sensing is detected.

My yard has partial sunlight, maybe 1/2 the day the solar panels would get full sun. Will that be enough for the motion lights?

We had ours 7 months now. We live in southeast PA which has had a lot of unusually, dark, wet days this year. It's true that the lights would get a little dimmer after a series of dark days but they've always pulled through and given us the safety light we need on the steps at night. Ours are in almost-full sun, though. But I think they'd work with partial daylight. If they don't you can always return them to Amazon.

Lights are fantastic but the plastic ground spikes shatter and crack

These lights are fantastic, charge well and are very bright. But the plastic they have chosen for the plastic ground spikes is all wrong. The plastic is so brittle that two spikes were even shattered inside the box on opening it up. Another 3 craked putting them the first time into relatively soft April UK soil. Then I needed to reposition two of the lights and when pulling and twisting the spikes to get thm out of the ground, they both cracked and shattered. So in summary, love the lights, hate the spikes.
