Jarrow Formulas BroccoMax Sulforaphane Generator 35 mg With Sulforaphane Glucosinolate and Myrosinase, Dietary Supplement for Liver Health Support, 120 Delayed Release Veggie Capsules, 60 Day Supply

I have type 2 diabetes, use various prescribed drugs including insulin, follow a extremely strict ultra low carb diet, all as prescribed by my two doctors, yet have struggled for years to keep blood sugar low; it has always jumped around. I have never met anyone else with as severed a problem while being so strict. My own doctor says I am a "model diabetic patient." I have also tried nearly every available pill, food and trick that has claimed to help, but none of those have made significant difference, including chromium, "miracle cures", etc. I continually monitor studies which show an effect on blood sugar, which is how I discovered this product. You can buy the same extract the researchers used, but BroccoMax is a lot less expensive. The best suppements until now have been 5 g of Ceylon cinnamon and 1 g of portulaca daily divided into two doses, which combined often lower it by 5%. I have been using BroccoMax for about 45 days, and it immediately made a very noticeable difference, consistently lowering it another 20%. This means I have had to really cut back on my Insulin to keep from getting "lows." I am still in the process of reducing my insulin even more. Originally it was planned that I take 4 * 500 mg Metformin XL pills daily, but anything over 2 pills produced constant diarrhea. The Boccomax seems to have made up for the two pills I cannot take, and it has not produced any ill effects. While the blood sugar has dropped well below 100, so far I have not had any "hypros", although I have been extremely careful. Because I am so big, I am taking almost double the amount stated on the bottle, divided into 3 doses, taken on an empty stomach and hour before meals. Cutting my insulin means that I will lose weight. I have even been able to eat 5 fresh cherries without raising my blood sugar level--I have not been able to tolerate any non-fiber carbs before. Your experience may well be different; just be extremely diligent in monitoring your blood sugar while using this. I am not suggesting that this is a cure; continue to work with your doctor. In effect, it gets the message to your liver that there is plenty of sugar in the bloodstream, so it does not need to keep making more.

After doing tons of research and using estro block alone that stopped working I read I need to add to more supplements for it to work. I Started using this along with calcium d glucuranate and estro block for my severe pms and hormone imbalance. I have severe estrogen dominance that has absolutely destroyed 10 years of my life. I never wanted to be put on synthetic drugs so i suffered. My main symptoms were painful periods, heavy flow, severe cystic acne , horrible mood swings and unbearable pms . I literally thought I was dying for 10 years every-time I was going to get my period for at least 2 weeks leading up. I was miserable and my moods were taking me to a really dark place. I really only had a 1 week timeframe between each cycle where my hormones were not controlling me. I can honestly say taking the 3 supplements together i listed has changed my life drastically. It did take about 3 months to see results but My periods now only last 5 days instead of 12, I only get cramps the first 2 days, My hormonal acne has almost diminished and the best part is my mood. I am literally like a different person, no more depression or anger. No more uncontrollable mood swings. Im happy all the time again and feel well . everyone tells me I have turned into a totally different person. I did a test and stopped taking these for a month and slowly everything started coming back , I will tk these for as long as I have to in order to feel normal. Great A++++ product

Two years ago, I stumbled upon Jarrow’s Broccomax while trying to squeeze more broccoli benefits into my life without actually eating broccoli (I’ll spare you the details of my failed broccoli-smoothie phase). Within a week, I was officially obsessed. Now, I pop my two little veggie capsules every morning like clockwork—my broccoli seed extract sidekick is always ready to save the day. I used to wander into rooms only to forget why I was there. Since Broccomax joined my squad, that’s become a thing of the past. Sulforaphane—the star compound in these capsules—fires up my NRF2 pathway and gives me a laser-like focus that lasts all day. Monday morning meetings? Bring ‘em on!

I don't write reviews often, but felt obligated after reading a lot of faulty misguided and uneducated one star reviews. One review states it only has 30mcg compared to mercolas 350mcg. Actually this contains 30mg which is 30,000 mcg which is exponentially more potent than mercolas. Another review states it's only glucosinolate and not sulforaphane. Sulforaphane is not stable and doesn't actually exist naturally in appreciable quantities in nature. Broccoli contains Glucosinolate and myrosinase, and when eaten/ chewed, the two mix in the gut and myrosinase converts glucosinolate into sulforaphane. This product contains both enzymes (one review claims it doesn't contain myrosinase). So taking this product is mimicking what happens in nature. Glucosinolate content is what you need to look at as long as some myrosinase is present. This has large quantities (30mg) and is higher than any other supplement I've seen on the market. Many other supplements lack myrosinase so that's something you'll want to pay attention to since glucosinolate won't convert to sulforaphane without it. I dropped it to four stars because there are two things to be aware of: it now contains rice maltodextrin. I'm not a fan that they put carbs into this pill. The other is that it may give you some mild gut distress. I think that's why it says to eat 30 min after consuming. But the upside of taking this supplement outweighs the downside in my opinion.

Great sulforaphane. Buy when the price is low. I can't post exactly what I take this for due to "community guidelines" 🙄, but you can search the internet.

Easy to swallow and digest with no smell. Good value for money at the price.

At least as of mid June, it appears that they had remaining inventories of old stock and are trying to get rid of it. My order for 2 bottles, 120 caps each, placed and received in June 2024, came with expiration 11/24. By contrast, my previous order for a 60 caps bottle came not only with the new labeling but also with a 03/26 expiration date. I only discovered this after taking some of the recently arrived caps and noting that they did not feel as the previous batch. That's when I decided to take a closer look and also found that the pills ARE visibly different from the exp 03/26 version (see pictures). My body reacts to the previous batch (small bottle shown, exp 03/26) in the pretty much the same manner as when I eat broccoli, which I do several times weekly to help with my bladder cancer treatment*. However, the exp. 11/24 pills did no such thing. LOL, ironically, Jarrow used the old pills for a product picture with the new label, as shown on Amazon today (June 30); no biggie, just amusing. Yet, I am curious as to why Jarrow claims they are the same quality, just with different labeling. The ingredients themselves changed, at least the "Other ingredients". To be sure, it is good -- al least for me -- that this newer (3//26) version seemingly behaves more like broccoli. I will be ordering for it soon (the old version was set aside). *(Go search PubMed for broccoli and research on the subject.)
