A better solution
I ordered and received on-time a new heavy duty PVC hose and cam lock fittings to backwash my pool. Hose cam complete with 2 clamps. Put everything together which took about 20 minutes. Works great!

Great for pool backwash
Using for an inground swimming pool DE backwash line. Fits perfectly into the fittings and 2 inch backwash hose. Much easier than screwing on and screwing off every time you want to use it.
