Love the vacuum. Works like a charm on my Apple device. But worries that I can’t find replacement side brushes and filters. Came with one extra but once those run out, I’m not sure what to do!

Ever try to convince your teenagers to do house chores while they're going thru their teen life crisis? It's easier to get a robot vacuum you can set and forget. It cleans up well and house has been a lot cleaner then if you let your kid vacuum while their on social media with their other hand. Kidding aside, I looked at several robot vacuums and reviews but decided to get Samsung Jetbot because it was a good price discount I got ordering from Treasure Truck. My wife scolded me when the product arrived. Now she loves it. The benifits, it does vacuum in several modes and I choose pattern mode with outer edges finished towards the end. The circular design allows it to turn around 360 pretty much in tight situations whereas Samsungs newer design looks like a dustpan was attached making it harder to turn around. You can designate multiple rooms after the robot has surveyed your house. You can designate off limit areas the robot will not enter to clean. The vacuum can move pretty well between different floor types, carpet and hard floor. It can even go over a few centimeters of height. It really does a clean job and you can see the difference after it's done vacuuming. The cons: ... Wish I could say, there is none. It's got a decent container size for vacuumed dust but you may want to check it every few weeks to a month, depending on how often you have it programmed to vacuum. Battery life has been decent and it takes about an hour and a half to clean my home. Battery is almost depleted when it's done, but it get back to its charger base and will be ready for the next cleanup schedule. It doesn't have obstacle avoidance like the newer and pricier models so if you have small items lying around the house like your usb cables. Make sure it's not on the floor. If you have pets and they leave their business on the floor, you may be making a bigger mess. Just saying. The schedule app is nice and works great as it's their smart things app but I wish they would update their program to allow it to have the option of selecting to do only certain rooms. Currently, i have mine set up to do all rooms, however, if I had the option, I would like to set schedule for certain days to do certain rooms and different t days for other rooms. Like most used areas of the home, do these rooms mon, we'd, fri. Rooms not used often, like guest room, once a week. Like any vacuum, the rollers will get tangled up with long hair, bit the thing is pretty easy to pull out the roller and clean it up. The filter and dust bin are easy to clean with water and dry out. I'm thankful I was able to get the vacuum at the nice discounted price and will hopefully get another one for the second floor soon.

I've owned this vacuum for about 2 years and it's great. The app does everything I need and the mapping features and ability to customize let's you clean exactly where you need to. Battery life is great and you can easily bring the vacuum to different floors than the dock, press the start button, and it will go to work mapping as it goes. But by far the worst aspect is when something goes wrong. And, for those that have had to deal with Samsung customer service before know, this is not unique to their vacuums. Replacement parts are very difficult to find and outrageously expensive. I mean truly jaw dropping. Just some examples: -The little 3-finger brush on the front of the vacuum: $61 -Power cord: $69 -Dust bin (just the bin, not with a filter): $140 -Main floor spin brush: $156 -Replacement battery: $316 So, break off one of those tiny plastic hinges on the dust bin filter cover that you have to open any time you want to dump out the bin, you just bought yourself 1/2 a vacuum. Want to replace the brushes, which wear out over time, 3/4 of a vacuum. Battery needs replacing, just buy a whole new vacuum. I didn't list the replacement filter because those are available from other suppliers for pretty cheap. But Samsung wants $111 for one of those. That's right, over $100 for a replaceable filter element. Good thing you can get them for about $15 elsewhere for off-brand. And that is why I will never, ever buy another Samsung product like this again. They make great TVs, just pray you never need to service anything made by them.

I thought about buying a robot vacuum for at least a year. It just felt like an unnecessary expense. After all, how much dirt can a robot vac REALLY pick up? A freakin lot! That’s how much! My child named our new jetbot snowball and it is now a member of the family. Honestly it took me a minute to figure out how to set it up. I’m pretty tech savvy but it wasn’t glaringly obvious how to get the thing to charge from a completely battery drained state. I let snowball map the first floor of our house itself and it did a great job! Check out the video. The attention to detail around the sofa leg amazed me. I can let it run twice a day and it doesn’t get hung up on anything. It’s easy to empty and really helps to keep the kitchen crumbs and mud room dirt at bay. Instead of sweeping every day I’m now only sweeping once a week! I did get this at a heavy discount through the Amazon Treasure truck. It was $250. I don’t think I would have paid full price, but now I know it is 100% worth the full price! It’s not a hassle at all, my kids don’t mess with it, and it’s almost completely self sufficient. Yay for snowball!

I bought this to replace a +360 S5. The S5 worked great, but had issues when I tried to change the battery. With the Samsung, it was a disappointment, and we returned it. The PRO's: The brush is very good, and is better than the typical bristle ones on most models. Sound is pretty quiet. Battery life is very good, usually over 90 minutes The CON's: Dumping the dustbin is a mess. Most of the dust collects on the filter requiring the need to dump the dustbin, then brush off the filter. Dust goes everywhere. The vacuum picked up very little compared to our other vacuum, and we found spots where it did not pick up things on the floor. The Smartthings app is fairly good, but does not have most of the features we had with the +360 app. When we bought this, we noticed Samsung had reduced the price by over $350, dropping to the price of the other similar vacuums. We have other Samsung products, and they are very good. This vacuum just does not work as well as the other ones on the market.

I’ve owned two robot vacuums now, this being the second. The first one I bought was from a no-name Chinese brand, which no longer sells the vacuum on Amazon or their site. I didn’t break the bank with that vacuum - it was like less than $100 I believe. The issue with that one is that it was just bumper car style - bouncing off of the walls. Also, there was no “smart” features connected to it at all and it was handled with a simple remote. Eventually, the battery just wouldn’t hold. After vacuuming for 5 minutes it would return to the charger. Anyways, with my second vacuum, I wanted to have it more future-proof than my last one. I looked around at the more expensive models, like the ones around $1000 from the more popular robot vacuum brands, and they justified the cost because of room/zone mapping, self-cleaning, LIDAR, etc. So, I was down, but I didn’t want to spend $1000+. This Samsung Jet Bot, which I named Cleonardo DiCaprio, so far is ticking off all the boxes I had for a robot vacuum for the next few years. First, setup was kind of an interesting experience. It’s not as simple as an Apple device, definitely not. Though it’s what you’d expect from a non-Apple device, I guess. You have to sync your vacuum with the Samsung SmartThings app, which isn’t the easiest to use. At first, the vacuum wouldn’t sync to my wifi, requiring me to reboot the vacuum and my phone to ultimately get it working. Once it connected, everything was pretty seamless. Once it charged up, it did a zone/room mapping of my loft. The feature is cool I guess, but after having it for a week I honestly just let the thing go on auto and it cleans my whole place. It is cool how it can differentiate “no go zones” without me having to Cleonardo, but to say that it requires little supervision would be a mistake. At times it would still get stuck under chair legs, or under my fridge, which I’d have to then adjust. I don’t think we’re at a “set it and forget it” world yet for robot vacuums. There have also been times where it would miss a giant piece of dust or lint, so it ain’t flawless. However, the whole LIDAR camera thing is pretty dope. There’s no more bumping off of random objects like a bumper car - its movements genuinely look like it’s looking for all the dirt. There was one time where I was watching it zoom past a piece of dust, thinking if it would catch it. Right after I had that thought it ate it up like the Tasmanian devil. Also, the cleaning of the vacuum is pretty neat as the compartment comes out from the top and it’s pretty easy to access. The self-cleaning models seems like a good idea, but in the case of Samsung the bags needed for changing are few and far between, and actually pretty costly. I wouldn’t recommend going for the self-cleaning versions. Anyways, the last dope feature is the voice activation and the ability to tie it to Google Home. Again, it’s not necessarily plug and play. You’d need to create “scenes” in SmartThings and then add the device to Google Home. But once you get it sorted, asking it to “activate ‘room service’” sends Cleonardo into a cleaning frenzy. Then finally, the voice from the actual vacuum is a nice touch - it actually feels futuristic. I would definitely recommend this Jet Bot to someone looking for more futuristic features from their robot vacuum without breaking the bank. I was lucky enough to get this on discount from Amazon, which made it a no brainer. But I think I’d still get it without the discount - it’s a sweet middle spot for people looking for a robot vacuum to last them a few years (i hope!). Plus it’s sexy AF.
