1 dose lasts 24 hours. It kills all living fleas but not the eggs. If you decide to do a topical later on like Advantage, wait at least 2 days before putting that on your cat. Advantage or Frontline kills the eggs in addition to the living fleas

Is this not a maintenance product to keep fleas and ticks off of cats? Or it’s just a one time jumpstart.
