Very handy set of tools. Perhaps not rugged heavy duty last forever quality but quite decent. So far hook removal on 15'-25" fish has been excellent. As to rust I haven't seen any though I will meticulously wash and dry the tools then spray WD40 after every outing.

I write reviews because I try to help others to make an informed decision just like I rely on people’s reviews to make my decisions. I’m not new to fishing, but new to pulling hooks out of fish. I am usually with someone who would remove the hooks for me. This time I went kayak fishing. I caught my first fish, he swallowed my hook real good. I was nervous about removing the hook. This fish hook remover made it a cinch! Easiest thing ever! I felt like a pro! Held the lip of the fish, used the remover and it came right off in seconds - so impressed!! I hang it on my fishing vest, so handy!! The pliers are a bonus! Highly recommend this. Disclaimer: I was not paid in anyway to write my review.

Good and durable for the job

It works perfect for what I need it for I have a rough time buckling my shoes and so forth because of bad hips and it works ideal for helping put my shoes on laugh out loud.

Recently I purchased this set and was amazed of its quality (excellent) and versatility. The stainless steel Disgorger is almost a surgical devise and is exactly what I was looking for. Maybe 40 years ago I had one similar in design, but not as smooth and durable as this one. Unavailable at most major fishing venues and tackle shops. The versatile pliers are a "All-In-One" Fisherman's delight with the multiple function. I especially like the lanyard that is attached to the unit and was impressed with the "mini belt loop" clip so you don't lose it.

I caught a huge 20 inch good 5 lb carp and didn’t have to touch it once, I only bought this set for the pliers but the other canes with and I didn’t think it would get used, I was wrong my husband wears it every time we go out, he cuts his braid line with it and lord knows what else , I love this set thank you

The Fish Hook Remover broke on me before I could get them set up on the kayak. The pliers and the case work great!

We love these products. We really like that we can clip to the chair. Has helped from accidentally throwing them in the lake while releasing fish. We used it to grab a 40 pound catfish with no issues. The hook remover is easy to use and gets hook out easily.

Both pair of pliers work well.
