SmallRig NP-F Battery Adapter Mount Plate for NP-F970/550/750/950/570/770

I’ve had to buy several NP-F battery adapter plates, and this is one of the best! This battery adapter comes with all of the imports I needed while also maintaining quality and saving space. All of the imports on this unit are protected by the steel or aluminum casing, not allowing any movement for imports to eventually break or wiggle off the circuit board inside, which I have had happen on other branded adapters. Another issue I’ve had with other adapters is not maintaining enough voltage to power my camera and power other things simultaneously. This adapter has no voltage problems allowing me to run my camera, charge my Gimbal, and run my field monitor all on one battery! Additionally, this is one of the most compact battery adapters for this type of battery I can find. It’s more expensive but it’s worth not having to re-buy new adapters.

I have to say I love this thing. I can use it to power my dummy battery with the 7.4V port and charge my camera from the USB-C port and still have a 12V port to charge a external camera monitor. It is compatible with all my current NP-F batteries, it's lightweight, easy to mount to almost any camera equipment and a great value for the money.

We’ll meet perfect functioning

First off I love this plate! Build quality is fantastic and works as intended, but be aware of a few things before purchasing. 1. The DC ports are different sizes: the 7.4v is a DC5521 port while the 12v is a DC5525 port. That means that the post is slightly smaller on the 7.4v. Usually a DC5525 cable will work for both, but if your cable doesn't fit the 12v it's because the cable is DC5521 and won't work. 2. I'm not able to use the USB-C port to power a Feelworld f6 plus V2 monitor. Smallrig says the Type C is 5v 2a output but I get nothing when plugged in. After testing I found it's a problem with the Feelworld and not the plate, just wanted to mention it though. Overall another great product from SmallRig. I'd recommend that if the USB-C isnt that important than get the cheaper version that doesn't have it.

Works exactly as advertised. Can basically mount this just about any which-way on any rig setup I end up with on a gig with my ZV-E1. ZV-E1 is prone to overheating, so knowing that I can lean on this in a pinch to throw a battery in and power the SmallRig fan accessory for my camera is a godsend. I don't always have a gimbal or a big 99wh battery attached to my rig. Helps me justify going "cheaper" than the FX3 or A7s III , considering I can rely on this even in run and gun scenarios. Fit can be awkward... but its understandable considering the battery compatibility.

Saw some YouTubers recommend for your first setup. They work great! Decent price to get started. They weren't wrong.

I have a couple of standard batteries for my Sony A7IV camera and they generally last a reasonable amount of time. During some of my travels, though, it's not convenient to wait for those batteries to recharge. I had some larger 970 batteries available from my light kits that fit perfectly in this mount plate that considerably extend my shooting time when away from other power sources. This is easy to attach to my Neewer rig and plug my dummy battery in extending the usefulness of my camera without having to purchase lots of additional standard batteries.

Well this little gem has been quite a versatile helper for me. It’s designed to fit on your rig and provide power obviously and it does that. It’s got some weight though (it’s built well), so know that going in. But other than the rig attachment, it is a charger as well. All my NPF batteries can be charged on it. What I like is it turns my NPF batteries into power banks. This is handy to have as I have several of these batteries for an Atomos monitor that I don’t always use. And rather than having the batteries be idle, they can be used for other purposes with this adapter. It feels like it’s made from a solid block of aluminum. The engineering is precise and good quality. Like most of SMALLRIG stuff. It has USB C out at 36w, a 7.4 V and 12 V outputs. That’s allot of output options. It also has an LED display to show the power level of the battery attached. This is a nice addition to my photography gear. Recommended.

For mounting on the back of an iPad rig or putting a clamp on them to help you charge lights and harder to charge portable items ; one of the most useful tools I have for any shooting or keeping things charged. I have 4 on smallrig clamps and just attach them next to a light or anything else that needs a charge — extremely useful units. The DC out feature would be handy too but I haven’t tried it myself ; Does 12V and 7.4V which are both heavily used USB switches up to 30W or lower when it’s charging smaller equipment too.

This company makes great stuff, and I got this for my battery to mount it to my smallrig tripod. The build quality is great, and I will buy more SmallRig stuff in the future.
