It’s a relatively thin magazine rather than a book so felt it was overpriced. Information was rather brief which would’ve been fine for a magazine that’s around £5-£6 but for this price was insufficient

Not as inspirational and insightful as I expected, but still a nice compilation of historical figures. I'd say it's not so much about people, who made a difference in the world and changed it in a positive way, but about those, who did something (good or bad) that made them popular. Therefore such controversial characters like Hitler and even Osama bin Laden are also included. If you have never heard of William Jaird Levitt, the father of modern American suburbia, or some other influential people, then this book provides a good reference. The descriptions are, however, quite superficial and do not seem to follow a clear structure, so if you want to know what made them who they were, how they came about to do what they did or how they became so popular, you may need to study that further. After having volunteered for almost a year in Cambodia, I was looking for some inspirational book to keep my passion going, but I guess this book is not exactly for this purpose. I'm sure, however, that many people, especially those, who are interested in history and famous historical figures, will quite enjoy it.

Egal ob Bösewicht oder Gutmensch. Alle finden in diesem Buch platz, da es neutral darum geht wer die Welt verändert hat...und das sind nicht immer gute Menschen gewesen, meist sogar schlechte Menschen in meinen Augen. Wichtige Personen wie: Jesus, Mohammed, Einstein, Ghandi, MLK, Hitler, Steve Jobs usw... sind auf jeden Fall dabei aber Moses fehlt!

Each page is a masterful summary of the life and significant contributions of one famous person. A real pleasure to read!

有名な方、それも一つの分野に偏らず様々な方の写真と説明が記載されていて、とても興味深い一冊だと思います。私的には、有名な言葉などがあれば更に良かったのに・・と思い☆ひとつマイナスさせていただきました。

Always interesting to just look through at all the people and what they brought with there actions.

The item said it was new. But product is best up with heavy marks on the cover and still has sticker that it came from Value Village.!!
