How do we know if it's bpa free since there is nowhere on amazon that says it is? proof?

The little number inside the triangle on the bottom tells what kind of plastic the cup is made of. My one ounce plastic cups have a 5 which stands for Polypropylene. Polypropylene does not contain bisphenol A, commonly called bpa. Numbers 1, 2, 4, 5 or 6 means you can comfortably assumer the item is bpa free.
