What size would a 5 pound puppy be??

i would say xtra small. i got a small for mine 9 ib dog and it is too big

How many pound dog can it hold? How big is the girth? Length? etc

It says that it works with dogs up to 26 pounds but it was not good for our 25 pound dog. The bag is soft and floppy, doesn’t provide any structure for a dog at the top end of the weight range.

Does the dog backpack carrier fit a pug?

It probably would if the dog is only about 20 pounds or less.

What is the difference between the gray and the upgraded-gray? what does the upgrade offer?

I have the gray, I think the material may be the difference. They gray is almost like a backpack quality (looking at the picture , the gray appears to be more rugged than the updated gray ). I really like mine and my dog seems to like it too!
