while I do love this product, and am very nearly 100% satisfied with my purchase, there is a quite unfortunate error in the printed text.. "smoke" is misspelled as "somke" in 2 locations.. this error can be seen (but went unnoticed by myself) in the product images, leading me to believe these may be factory rejects of otherwise quite decent quality pieces.. I, myself, am willing to overlook this mistake for my own personal use, but would be less inclined to give as a gift to someone else.. for this reason, I give 2/5 rating for the 'giftability' categorythe glass is satisfyingly substantial both in thickness and in heft, so as to prevent tipping over in strong winds outdoors or even a mild accidental bump of the hand. I am not sure if the glass is borosilicate (pyrex) or common soda-lime glass, but it seems to be of good quality regardlessOverall, I highly recommend this item, especially if it'll be kept for personal use.. I'm probably going to scrape the printing off altogether, as I'm not a big fan of branding on products in general and I think the pure, unadulterated aesthetic of straight clear glass with the black funnel piece ought to look rather sharp!

I do not smoke... I never have and never will. However, I needed some glass Studio Monitors/Speaker stands to compliment my recently purchased glass iMac stand... And glass Studio Monitor/Speaker stands were so costly. So, I begin looking for a more budget-friendly alternative. Glass ashtrays came to mind; so I measured my Studio Monitor/Speaker pads and put those measurements in the search bar and these awesome 8'x8' crystal glass ashtrays showed up in the search and they are perfect... So, I ventured on a DIY project and with 8 4' candlestick holders and these 2 beautiful 8'x8' crystal glass ashtrays; I made 2 Studio Monitor/Speaker stands. And They go nicely with my Home Studio Setup... I am very pleased.
