Smells like Lactose Red
Love the smell wish they were in stock still smells just like the Lactose Red

Better than the real version in the new bottle
Smells great or better than the watered down version of the real stuff. Wish it had the staying power of the original Lacoste red in the round bottle, but for the price and what it is. 5 stars for sure and worth it.

Lacoste Style In Play
Edited after a couple uses: I’ve loved the OG lacoste since it was released in ’04 and have had numerous bottles; this is a very similar clone… but disappointingly weak. 15 sprays on me and my girl said she could barely smell it. Hopefully a parfum will come out

As near the original as I've found. It seems they don't make the Lacoste Red anymore, or when you do find it, it's absurdly expensive. This La Rive is only a fraction the cost and the aroma is very similar. Not quite spot-on, but very similar. Way better than anything else out there.

As you can see in the picture, I have a pretty good litmus for this review. I'll highlight the good and the bad, starting with the good: -it smells good even if you don't know what it's "supposed" to smell like. -It is fairly close in scent to the "real thing" -it isn't very expensive and therefore would be a welcomed re-gift for someone in your life that thinks axe axe body spray is acceptable 🤣 -The bottle looks good, and next to no one would think twice if they saw you using it -it's probably the best way you'll be able to get this particular scent profile without the risk of being duped. With that said... -it's cheap, and it smells cheap next to the OG. -the staying power is like 1 hour -it'll have you wondering if there's something better out there (there isn't in my limited research). -it's still a waste of money if it leaves you feeling disappointed, like it did me. It's got to feel like what hiring an escort expecting to make a wife might feel. In short, it will get you through the night, just don't expect a wife the next day.

A perfect dupe of Lacoste Style in Play
It doesn’t say so anywhere, but I suspected this may be a dupe of my favorite scent, the now discontinued Lacoste Style in Play. It is a perfect smell-alike that is so inexpensive it feels like stealing. BUY IT NOW!
