Impressed With the Result
Fairly easy to set up, worked like a charm! Very content with this purchase. NOTE: Make sure you run a test "spin" of the food dispenser to avoid surprises. If you leave the "food dispenser opening" too wide for pellets, it can disperse them at a much higher than desired rate. I removed the cover for my hang on back filter and clipped it in place over the water flow. Programmed 2 "spins" twice a day (can program up to 3 spins, 3x a day), for a week-long vaca...plants/water-quality spot on, and fish appear well-fed and healthy. Probably get a 2nd feeder to run only flake food, and this current one to run pellets since pellets disperse more quickly than flake. 100gal, sixteen 4" cichlids & loaches.

Easy to set up
Perfect when you go out of town and you don’t have to worry about the little fishes eating. Easy to set up; you can change the frequency depending on how often you feed. Totally worth it; and easy to put away and re-use later.

Timed fish feeder- worked great
Needed something for a long weekend away from our fish & this worked great. It does sometimes dump a lot and other times not much when it’s filled with bigger food— in our case freeze dried shrimp. So I set it to multiple times a day every 6 to 12 hours… in case a bigger shrimp got in the way to make sure they were fed.

waste of money
this is a piece of junk. first i could not get it to distribute food with any accuracy relative to amount. instructions were horrible and the included stickers didn't stick. but the worst was the base. it did not fit a standard aquarium, too small. it was nearly impossible to pull the unit off the base to refill, without the base coming off with it, because the base did not fit the aquarium edge. the included stickers to attach to a cover or light did not stick. the measurement stickers would not separate from the paper backing making them completely useless. but the worst part was, because the base would not attach properly to the side of the tank, when i pushed the manual button, the entire unit fell into the tank, rendering the product completely useless as it is not waterproof. i cant return it because it fell into the water as a result of a piece of crap base. i recommend you burn your money rather than give it to these idiots.

Freesea or Fishnosh or Eheim ?
I tested out three automatic Fish feeders. Freesea, Fishnosh and Eheim. This was the easiest to program and control for specific feeding times and number of drum rotations (feedings), plus the most informative. At least for me. Eheim was not logical or user friendly at all to program , It did not have a battery power indicator but will warn when its low. It also does not have a power on/off button so you must remove the batteries to turn it off. Its feeder clamp did not open wide enough to fit my 75 gallon aquarium. Please note - I did not test the other two fish feeder clamps on my 75 gal tank. But they did fit on my 20 gal one. Freesea required taking out the batteries to turn it off and did not have any indication of power left in the batteries. Plus only allows one rotation (feeding) of the drum for the preprogramed time its set for, which is either every 8 or 12 or 24 hours. This one actually shows' the battery power status, has a power on/off button, allows for specific feeding times and number of drum rotations (feedings) up to 3.
