UPDATE: THE BEST INSECT/RODENT DETERRENT EVER! BUY IT AND PUT YOUR MIND AT EASE
I'm updating my review: I LOVE THIS STUFF AND NOTHING ELSE WORKS LIKE IT. It's easy. As mentioned below they state STEM may need reapplication, but not that often. And, a little goes a long long way. Plus, because the price is right, you can continue to purchase it as you need it. Critters really hate it and go away. It is so worth it. If you spray them they die immediately but I don't care if they die. I just want them to stay away and they do! The smell is overwhelming and I don't care! The scent alone DETERS anything from insects to rodents. It keeps me from having to set traps. It keeps me from using neurotoxin sprays. I love it and wish it didn't smell so strong but THAT'S WHY IT WORKS!!! It's only essential oils and it is all natural. After the third yellow sac spider (and he seemed well-fed) landed in my bed, I had - had enough. I give a quick SPURT anywhere I might see a cobweb or in corners and on the ceiling fan ...because they seem to like it up there, dopes. Regardless, the smell alone is a deterrent! Wouldn't it be nice if you didn't see them at all! Wouldn't it be nice if they just stayed away? I don't mind reapplication because it doesn't take much. A SPRITZ DOES THE TRICK. Thankfully the price is right or I would look into other options but the lemongrass in this product is despised by spiders and rodents. A small spritz and your whole room will be a deterrent. I would now like to get some sleep and think I will. I don't like seeing creatures and I don't want them around. This keeps them away in the first place! Isn't that what you want? Don't hesitate. Don't bother with ant traps. Use this and repeat the usage until it stops. You can use traps outside the house, if you have more trouble. It does leave a horribly oily residue so don't spray it anywhere you can't wipe down later. That's the only drawback and it's not a big one. Despite the fact that this may need reapplication, it's surprising how well it works. I had to leave one of the homes unoccupied for quite a while (years). I bought this for ants, but was surprised to find that some mice had also taken up residence in the basement. I would spray and although the scent would dissipate, it actually took some time... Longer than they say on the bottle. I also found wetting cardboard, cotton balls or anything absorbent could be placed in various locations and that makes for easy cleanup. I'd simply spray again, and eventually, it seemed they did not want to come back. As far as the ants go, they are dead on contact. All I needed to do was find the general location where they were coming from and it was over. One small word of caution, if you are sensitive to smells, you won't get away scott-free. It may be natural but a little goes a long way. Overspraying, was overwhelming. It gave me headaches. IT WAS STILL WORTH IT! Don't overspray.

Great Buy
I was a bit skeptical on how well this might work. I am very impressed, especially with the flies. It took one spray and those things went down. It is a little bit of a strong smell, but it doesn’t last very long. Happy to find something that is safe to have my inside pets.

BEST PRODUCT FOR BUGS BUT OILY AND MAYBE SMELLY
When you live in an apartment complex, your neighbors problems becomes your own. No matter how clean your place is, things find their ways through outlets, vents, hollow walls and any crack or crevice. I had a roach issue. Nobody likes to admit this. I don't. But I tried dealing with it with traps. At first it worked, but then the traps stopped getting busy and I kept seeing things here and there. I wanted a barrier with straight insecticide to handle my issue FAST! This is the solution. The best!!! Doesn't smell like raid. It works!! Bugs are scared, they run. They die. Period. I won't have to deal with my neighbors issue no longer and it creates a repellent or barrier to deter anything else. Problem solved. PROS: WORKS ON ALL PESTS HOWEVER BIG OR SMALL. CONS: OILY maybe smelly to those who aren't accustomed to bug sprays. I recommend a mask.

Whatever is in here it works.
I bought Stem because of the reviews here, and I live in an apartment with a major roach problem. I normally rotate my poisons, and bait traps so my roaches can't adjust to the poisons I give them. STEM kills on contact and is effective for several days after spraying. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has a bug problem whether it's flies, roaches, and ants. The only downside is the smell. It can wake the dead and make your eyes water. Make sure you open your windows after spraying to prevent your eyes from watering.

A must buy for the end times plagues.
I was away for 5 days and the power went out. Circuit breaker tripped. Swarms of fruit flies, biblical plague-level infestation. I sprayed this on the flies, on the windows, in the fridge, and in the freezer after I dumped all the groceries. (In this economy that killed me) This spray massacred the flies, instantly. It's oil-based, so flies walking on it are dooooomed. Wash sprayed surfaces with dish detergent. The smell is tolerable, not really chemical. A cross between citronella and bergamot. 10/10 reccomend. The fruit flies however may have a different opinion.

The smell is not noxious or horrible...as other reviews would have you think.
Just received so can only give an average review. However, I wanted to share my opinion re: the smell. It is not as bad as many reviewers would have you think. I am very sensitive to scents and was worried. Just received it, sprayed it in the problem crevices and it's not horrible. Based on some reviews, I was worried. Do not worry about the scent. Now, onto the oiliness...not an issue as I bought this for crevices I can't get to. I can only give this 3 stars as I have not seen lasting results, I only saw 2 ants die when spray hit them. (Fun serial killer stuff. lol)

Works Great on Texas-Sized Roaches and Pesky Flies
I bought the Stem Kills Ants, Roaches and Flies bug spray because Texas bugs do not know how to act right. Around here, a roach can walk in looking like it pays rent, and the flies will test every bit of patience the good Lord gave you. I have been using this spray for about a year now, and it has worked great for me. On smaller pests, it usually works right on contact. With those big Texas-sized roaches, sometimes one spray does the job, and sometimes I give them a second round just to make sure they understand the lease has been terminated. Either way, it handles them quickly without me having to chase the thing across the room like I am in some low-budget horror movie. It also works well on pesky flies, which is a blessing because flies seem to treat an open door like a personal invitation to come in and ruin everybody’s peace. I like keeping the bottle handy around entry areas, patios, and problem spots where bugs like to show up uninvited. I also appreciate that it uses a plant-based active ingredient. I still treat it like a bug spray and use it carefully, but I prefer it over the harsher-smelling sprays I have used before. The scent is noticeable, of course, but it is much more tolerable than traditional bug sprays. It sprays evenly and is easy to use. It can leave just a little bit of residue on surfaces, so I usually wipe the area afterward if I spray it indoors or somewhere visible. That is not a dealbreaker for me, but it is worth mentioning. Overall, I am very pleased with it. After a year of use, I still keep it around because it is effective, convenient, and strong enough for the kind of pests we deal with in Texas. Five stars from me, because any spray that can take down a roach with confidence deserves its stars.

Works on ants and safe for pets.
I have small ants and this keeps them away. This is not toxic for pets, which gives me peace of mind. I spray it in the kitchen under the cabinets and the ants are gone and me and my pets are free from toxic fumes. I reapply it every 2 weeks in summer because thats when the ants appear. This smells a little bit fruity, not offensive and goes away in a few minutes. I really like this stuff.
