High quality Pulaski Axe
This American made product is of high quality and is the same as those used by the U.S. Forest Service to fight wildfires.

Head flew off on second use
After ten swings, cutting a root, the head flew off. Now I need to reseat the head every few swings. A complete waste of money.

High Quality Product
This Pulauski Axe turned out to be the quality product I was hoping for. I tested it by chopping a tree root, and it worked well for that. I expect to use this tool a lot.

Can’t believe this was made in the USA!
I really hope they spent a lot more time on the quality of the metal than they did on the finishes of the product! The handle was covered in a thick varnish that was rough and had runs and bubbles in it. The head of the Pulaski must have been dipped in paint a couple of times. It was excessively thick and had dried where it dripped off part of it. I opted to spend a little more money on a US made product rather than one made in Mexico, but maybe I should have bought the other one. They may have taken a little more pride in their work. The USA stamp used to stand for quality. Maybe now it just self identifies as a quaintly product and manufacturer. After a good bit of sanding and polishing, I now have something that I wouldn’t be embarrassed to be seen using. Overall I am ashamed that a US manufacturer let that product out their doors. It my eight year old daughter brought something to me she had done that looked like that, I would have made her go back and try again!

Axe head ok. Handle complete garbage
the head was hung crooked. the grain on the handle is poor. If I were actually a firefighter I would not want to stake my life on this mass produced piece of garbage. I try to buy American but with products like this why bother pay the premium?

As expected, this is a well-made, strong, reliable tool. It has stood up to to trail clearance with no damage or loss of functionality, and I think it will serve for many years.

Make sure there’s no gaps where the handle fits into the Pulaski
I purchased a similar Pulaski that’s red, and it did not fit tightly into the handle, and Pulaski came of the handle but this one I’ve now have several hours on it, and the handle is still fitting snug and hasn’t moved at all in the Pulaski
