Revolutionary headphones that changed how I experience music and workouts!
These SHOKZ OpenMove bone conduction headphones have been absolutely game-changing for my active lifestyle and completely solved my biggest audio frustrations - the quality is outstanding with innovative bone conduction technology that delivers surprisingly rich, clear sound while allowing me to stay completely aware of my surroundings for safety during outdoor runs, cycling, and gym workouts. The functionality is incredible as the open-ear design means I can listen to music, podcasts, or take calls without blocking ambient sound, which has been perfect for staying alert to traffic, fellow runners, or gym conversations, and I love how comfortable they feel during long workouts without any ear canal pressure or that sweaty, plugged-up feeling I always hated with traditional earbuds. They look great with a sleek, modern design that doesn't scream "fitness gear" so I can wear them comfortably in professional settings for calls or casual listening, and the secure fit means they never slip or fall off even during the most intense workout sessions or outdoor adventures. At this price point, it's amazing value for cutting-edge technology that has genuinely improved both my safety and enjoyment during physical activities - these headphones have eliminated the constant dilemma of choosing between good audio and situational awareness, and the Bluetooth connectivity is rock-solid with impressive battery life that gets me through multiple long runs without needing to recharge, making this one of the smartest fitness investments I've made for combining my love of music with my commitment to safe, enjoyable exercise.

Good Bone Induction Headset for Music & Phone talking
Nice sound, works ok with Oticon hearing aids, although it does interfere a wee bit with the hearing aids talking between themselves. Battery life is decent, I typically use mine for 1 full charge per day. It has a multi-year lifespan wtih this kind of usage, this is my 3rd pair and there probably will be a fourth, except if they phase it out. Primarily used for music (overnight), it is reasonable for telephone talk, the noise cancelling is medium, not great but not bad either. stays on my head, in position well and is comfortable.

A bit awkward, but overall good device
I've been a fan of this brand for a while. It was honestly a godsend for me, as I can't wear inner earbuds. My ear canals are too small for even the smallest ones I've found. I don't like carrying around big over the ear headphones and the outer earbuds are kind of becoming a thing of the past, particularly after phones started dropping the audio jack. I got one of the mid-priced ones they had and they lasted me a good long while - they still work, but they finally broke in a way that I can't really repair without impacting the device's ability to rest on my temporal bones. For reference, I got these before the company rebranded themselves from Aftershokz to simply Shokz, which I think happened about 5 years ago. These likely would have lasted longer, except that I'm admittedly a bit rough on my electronics. These are a marked change from the earlier unit, which was smooth silicone and plastic. I chose these for the price point, but also because I thought the metal might make them harder to break. I'll have to wait a bit to weigh in on that one, as the older pair I had took years to finally start breaking down. Others have mentioned that these are a bit awkward on the head compared to the ones in the higher priced tiers. I have to agree on that. While I do think I'm getting a more durable unit, the headset is a bit more awkwardly placed than the other models. At times it sort of battles for space with my eyeglasses, but not in a way that I'd find a deal breaker. It's just a bit of a transition period, although if you are very sensitive to things like that I recommend going for one of the slimmer units. As far as sound goes, these are nice. I can tell that they've worked on the sound quality since their earlier units, as it's a bit crisper and clearer than my other set. I do get the impression that the higher dollar sets might be a bit better, but I think that's more because it might sit on the temporal bone a bit more smoothly than these might on my head. Other than that, I am pretty happy that the headset can be charged with a type C USB cord. This makes it easier to charge these any time, any where. These have a decent amount of charge time so I'm not particularly worried about this running out all of a sudden, but it is good to have. These do hold less of a charge than the mid-tier units, so keep that in mind. If you're someone who often goes long periods without charging things or can spend 10+hours using your headphones, you'll definitely want to go with the next tier up. Still, for my purposes these are fine. Another user mentioned some ear soreness - I haven't experienced that so far. I think part of this is because I'm kind of used to this via my eyeglasses and prior set - but I think that this will vary by person in general. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with these. I will admit that I liked the mid-tier type headset more as far as charge time and comfort goes, but this gets the job done and meets my needs. It also feels slightly more durable, but time will only tell with that. I might eventually replace these with a mid-tier when they wear out, but if they're anything like my old headset it's going to be a while and it'll go out kicking and screaming. Highly recommend.

An honest review. Understanding what you are looking at is key.
These do exactly what I needed them to do. It allows me to hear my surroundings when I'm walking/running/biking and listening to audiobooks / music. It's not going to have great sound quality because it's BONE CONDUCTION, this means sound comes to your eardrums and the inner ear via vibrations traveling through your skull. It's not going to be Bose' quality sound and your Nickelback playlist will sound even worse. But this leaves your ear canal open to receive ambient sound (that is sound around you not coming from the headphones) so you can still hear that creepy guy coming up from behind you. This also means that your music may get drowned out by loud ambient noises, like passing by a lawnmower or loud vehicles. So don't think they will work where it's noisy. My phone uses the same cable so I can alway charge my earphones. The stiff cord connecting both sides fits loosely around the back of your head. So you will not be able to lay down on your back, it will push the speaker pads off of your cranium (skull) and you won't hear your sound. It uses a very simple one button to control your music. 1 push start/stop, 2 pushes jumps forward, 3 pushes rewinds, 4 pushes.....don't, just don't press the button 4 times. Summary: -Plenty loud and good, clear, sound quality (understand what this technology is) -Supper easy operation with one button. -You can take calls, so long as it's not too windy -Easy to charge with USB-C cord. (Very common charging cord) -Good battery life (+7 hrs @ medium volume) -Connects just fine. (Learn to use your device) -You can listen to books/music and still hear your surroundings I love mine!

So good I bought two
This is my second set of OpenMove Shokz bone-conduction earphones. That tells you how much I liked the first set. I bought a second set so that I could have one charging while I'm listening on the other one. One thing I really like about this is that the headset says, "Charge me!" when the battery is low. It leaves no ambiguity as to the state of the battery in your headset. I mostly listen to audiobooks, and so I find the battery lasts much longer than the advertised six hours. I'm guessing that time is based on the headset being at full volume. From what I can tell, the sound technology in this second set has been improved upon over the first set I bought. The sound is clearer and louder than the older set. I especially notice this when the reader (of the audio book) drops his voice. These also work well with earplugs or cotton balls when I'm in noisy areas. I can plug one ear to hear the book and am still able to hear my surroundings with the other ear. The Bluetooth connectivity works well once you get it connected. As with any Bluetooth device, the initial setup can take some fenagling. Once it is set up, the device connects quickly. That said, since I have two of the same device, it can get interesting when I'm switching between them in my phone or Kindle since they have the same name in the list of Bluetooth devices. It still takes not more than a minute to get past this small obstacle. I also like the start/stop button on the left earphone. It is an actual button, and so you know when you push it. Plus, there is a beep when you push the button to provide extra confirmation.

Best Running Headphones
Total game changer for an avid runner like me! Got tired of the excessive ear wax buildup from in-ear headphones, so I decided to give these a try. They don't get as "loud" as others, but the sound clarity is still there and the battery life is great. Never have any issues with them slipping or falling off, regardless of sweat. Great buy!

Audio works but uncomfortable to wear
They seem to work fine but are quite uncomfortable to wear. The band that runs around the back of your head is very rigid and isn't adjustable and is too big for me. This cause the ear buds to press outward on my ears. After an hour run, it is very uncomfortable. It seems like the band should either be adjustable or less rigid or the earbuds should come in different sizes. It is true that I have smaller than average head (hats never fit me), so maybe this won't be a problem for everyone. I had no issues with the audio quality or other functionality.
