Can you connect a equalizer to this unit?

Yes you can. This is a musical amplifier: natural and pure sound. An equalizer will defeat the “true DNA sound “ of this marvelous equipment. Do not recommend to add an equalizer. You could get home theater receiver with room correction capabilities.
