It works well,
I've been using these types of devices for 20+ years. The one I was using wore out from use. I ordered this product. Glad I did .It is far away the best I've ever owned. Even works well on long compression stockings. Others I have used could be a struggle.Another plus is the size. It is wide enough to easily slip my foot into the device. Again not rue for others I have used.

Makes it easy.
I purchased this sock aid because I'm finding it harder to put on socks with each passing day. I'm 71 with back problem. Te only problem I have with this sock aid is the clamps that come with it. It would probably work great with thin socks or hose but I like thick socks and found the clamps almost useless. I remedied the problem by removing the factory supplied clamps and replacing them with a pair of clamps from an old set of suspenders, works great. Better than the manufacturers. just saying.

BEST SOCK AID OUT THERE!
With limited ability to raise my foot and limited hand strength (after surgery), I found this tool to be a lifesaver to put on my heavy compression ankle socks. (My original purchase was from a supply house.) After 2 years of daily use, it did crack, but after reading reviews on other devices, they all crack after a while. I did try another sock aid, but the little rubber patch that is supposed to help bring the sock up came off so I am buying another one of these. I will have to say that when my feet swell, sometimes it is a challenge but I just have to be creative when that happens. Some people weren't happy about the continuous strap, but I find it very helpful. You get an even pull up. My other brand had two ropes and it wasn't an even pull up the sock experience. If you are on the fence, try this item. You won't go wrong.

Use it daily.....
Let me tell you, I have spent/wasted as this type of item is a non-returnable item with most sellers. You name the model and type....I've tried it and I can tell you the soft, flexible sock aids just don't work well. The metal stretch, step in, and pull devices over a hundred bucks, don't work as well as this hard plastic pull on sock aid. I LOVE this sock aid. I discovered this model over two years ago and have been using it daily, ever since. It is just fabulous. Works well with knee high stockings, panty hose, and socks. I have found the garters, meant to give you extra traction when pulling up the foot covering of choice, to simply get in my way. I used them in the beginning but found that the stocking/sock was always up and over my heel sufficiently with use of the sock aid alone, to allow me to place my hands down into the stocking or sock and finish smoothing it up my ankle and the rest of my leg. Eventually, I cut the garters off as they were more of an annoyance than an aid and I can't imagine my life without this hard plastic sock aid. Like most things that I've found that REALLY work and do what they are supposed to do, when next you go to buy a new one, they are no longer available, so I ordered four additional and have them in my linen closet as backup for when this one wears out, but I can tell you that after two years of daily use, this first one looks as good as it did the day I bought it. The white canvas strap does get soiled from brushing against the lotion I place on my legs after showering, but the strap launders up beautifully with some laundry detergent placed on a scrub brush. Lay the strap flat, brush until clean. Rinse well, hand to dry and you're good to go the next morning. LOVE this sock aid.

great product!
I have a neuro-muscular disease which restricts my range of motion. Simple things like putting on socks has become an issue for me. I read all the reviews on similar products and so glad I went with this device. It's very simple to use. You just load your sock (at waist level) on the blue hard plastic piece, then lower loaded sock to your foot, step into your sock (I sit in chair and put it lower to floor and use floor to step in) and by using the straps pull the sock on. .. Bam! your sock is on. I have child shoe 2 youth size, and my socks are small. I was worried this device would be to wide to hold my socks, but it works just fine with my ankle and knee length socks. My hubby is happy as well since he is off sock duty now. lol

Good Concept/Poor Quality
I have a bad hip and it has become difficult to get my socks on. When I saw this product and read the reviews I thought that it would be "just the thing". When it arrived I was surprised at the size of the flexible "sleeve" onto which you put the sock. I was able to get one of my socks on, but with some difficulty. Then when I tried to use the straps they disconnected from the main body of the device. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to reattach them to the Handles I sent it back for a full refund.

sock thing
I have a few mobility disabilities, so, I purchased a 'sock thing', maybe a year ago. It was flexible, and divided into three 'fingers'for further flexibility. A fault with it, was it was terry cloth covered, so it wore, and the fabric straps broke from wear. I ordereda replacement. This (according to the picture attached) was a duplicate of the previous device. Upon arrival, I noticed it was different. The device itself was harder plastic, no fingers, and less flexibility. There were two garter devices to hold I'm guessing stockings, and instead of two independent straps, there was one.The strap was attached by rivets, and appeared less likely to tear, but the rivets poke through to the inside of the plastic, which could cause some abrasion. In short, the previous device didn't wear well and broke, this new device is more substantial, but more difficult to use, and can cause pain. But, it's what I have, and there are no refunds/exchanges. It works.
