Does this fit -over- a 1 inch pipe head or -into- a 1 inch opening? my pump has a 1 1/4 head with a 1 inch opening.

The outside diameter of these strainers is the same as 1 inch PVC pipe and it will fit inside a 1 inch female fitting. It is also a nice fit on the outside of 3/4 PVC pipe that I purchased locally in Indonesia.

Do you have one that will fit into a 25mm hole ?

Item R441008 1/2" FIT Low Profile Strainer OD is 0.840" or 21.34mm. So the answer is no, but this fitting is close to 22mm OD (21.34mm)

Does it look exactly like the picture? 6 slots?

The 1in has 4 rows of slots, Amazon is showing the picture of a 1 1/2in that has 6 rows of slots, they look the same otherwise.
