I was never able to use this oven because the inner glass was broken into a million pieces as soon as I received it. The outside looked so beautiful. Unfortunately I have to return it and will try to buy again UPDATE: Ordered the oven for the 2nd time and looks beautiful. No damages and no shattered glass this time. Hopefully will work good once contractors come to install. Update: Oven looks beautiful when installed and cooks well so far. Fits perfect in my kitchen. I love it! Hoping the letters don’t fade as I’ve read in a few reviews.

Absolute garbage. Amazon should stop selling this product. It arrived with a shattered door, just like many other customers, due completely to poor packaging. There is very little padding in the box, and absolutely none on the corners, where it is needed. The door is a full sheet of glass with metal strips on it for hinges and a handle. The corner of the glass hit the bottom of the box, and bingo, another shattered door. Since the rest of the oven seemed to be undamaged, we agreed to let Empava replace just the door. This they did very quickly and they were very nice about it. When the replacement door came, we unboxed the rest of the oven to install it and found a smashed corner on the metal frame on the lower back corner. This was done BEFORE it was put in the box. When my husband tipped the unit up on the front edge to view the back corner, the whole frame warped. Absolutely flimsy. Then he tried to get to the wiring to install the oven. The manual does not have diagrams of this oven, someone has cut and pasted pieces of manuals from Home Depot products and used them. So the drawings do not match the oven. Luckily my husband is a licensed electrician, so that was only a slight problem. However, when he got a good look at the wiring on the oven, he discovered that they were not covered. They were just bare wires sticking out of the back of the oven, no connectors of any sort. The wires do not match standard American wiring colors. He said they are usually in an enclosed box, too, and that having them exposed like that is not adequate, or safe. So he would not install it, as it was a fire hazard. We got approval from Empava to return it, which we did a few days later. They received it on Dec. 21, but sent us no communication, and would not refund the purchase price. We had to get Amazon to force the refund weeks later. Bad, bad experience.

Well for starters, installation was a real pain. The electrical hardware on the oven doesn't have clear indicators as to which wire goes where and neither does the instruction manual. When I finally did get it connected, I found out that the oven will not even turn on unless the timer dial is also ticking, which is really dumb if you ask me. So I turn it to preheat and to 465 degrees like it tells you to do for the first 30 mins of use. This did nothing... temperatures were cool enough to stick my hand in there. I started reading the instruction manual and customer reviews and figured I would try a different setting on the oven to get the temperature up so I put it on Convection Broil which is supposed to use both top and bottom heat as well as the convection fan. I noticed that the convection fan was not spinning at all, so I gave it a nudge and it started spinning. Doing this allowed the oven to reach a slightly higher temperature than it was putting out so I figured I would try to use it by cooking a frozen DiGiorno pizza. I turned the oven to 400 degrees, put the pizza in, and left it be for 25 minutes, came back to a thawed gooey pizza mess inside the oven.

For starters, I ordered two of these ovens. The first one had a hole in the bottom of the box and the oven was dented in. We were able to return this one for a free refund and free shipping. The second one had a hole in the side of the box and looked as if a fork lift had hit it in the side and dented it in. They would not pay for shipping to return this one and shipping was $175 dollars. Installed the oven and used it to cook all of our Thanksgiving food and it worked great and I really enjoy cooking with it. It really cooks food well and fast on Convection Broil.
