Mullet Tools M5 Dust Cyclone Collection (Milk Jug White/Black)

I bought this to help with removing popcorn ceiling, and it made the whole process much easier. I also bought the $40 "bucket and lid" solution to try first as it was significantly cheaper. If that had worked I would have just returned this magnificent beast and saved the $200. Using the mullet, though, was much, much easier and the upgrade cost was worth it to me for how much faster I could work.The unit itself is very solidly built, definitely up for moving and banging around. The connection to the shop vac is solid as well (if you set it up correctly). I just grabbed the dust collector and dragged around the whole thing as a unit.Every detail is very well thought out, from the documentation (they give you a branded coozie, carpenters pencil, and a dollar bill attached to the registration) to all the different use cases. There are many features I will probably never use, for example I'm probably never going to mount this on my wall or in a vertical configuration. But it's nice to know I could.As a dust collector it works very well. Much better than a bucket. It maintains better suction and separate out the dust very well before it can get into the vacuum. While I did make sure it never got too full, I was able to remove 2200 SQ ft of popcorn ceiling without changing the bag in my shop vac once.

I was very skeptical buying this thing for concrete dust, concrete dust ruins everything we use to suck it up, including high dollar extractors. We fight with them constantly when grinding for repairs, saw cutting floors, or just cleaning up messes during repair work.This thing working shockingly well at separating the dust from a floor grinder before it reached the bag and hepa filter in the vacuum. In 3 hours time I emptied the Mullet three times, the bag barely saw any material and I did a quick cleaning of the canister filter once after two hours when the suction started to get a bit reduced.It will save the money spent on filters and consumables in very few jobs. Totally worth the money.It's wild to watch it settle out even the finest concrete dust.

I needed a powerful and reliable tool that would work as advertised. A tool that was easy to operate, easy to clean and relatively inexpensive. The Mullet Cyclone Dust Collector checks all of the boxes! It’s constructed of heavy duty plastic that’s beefy and sturdy. It’s designed to connect to virtually and brand and size shop vac. It comes to you mostly assembled except for measuring for using on your vacuum. You need to use a back saw, cut off saw, band saw, etc. to cut the vertical 1.5” pvc tube. Don’t worry it takes less than 10 minutes to use the supplied template to quickly measure, mark, cut and assemble! Easy peasy. I don’t do many reviews but I needed to let you know how good this collector really is. Bye it. You’re gonna love it!

Excellent product.i use it in my wood shop to collect all my saw dust from my saws.easy to switch between saws.the hose will plug directly into the factory dust collecting port on all my saws.it may seem a little awkward to move around with it hooked to your shop vac.but actually it rolls easily around on the shop vac.one of the cons would be that it fills up fairly fast however,it easily disconnects from the shop vac.it has a big opening to dump out the saw dust quickly.the hose reaches all over my shop.i just leave it attached to the shop vac.and do all my vacuuming with it.love this thing.

I am more than pleased with the product I received from the team at Mullet Tools. It works as advertised, and super easy to set up. I am even more impressed with their level of service. When I purchased the cyclone I also bought a new shop vac to power it. I wanted one that wasn't as loud and had good reviews as to suction and power. I ended up getting the VacMaster pro. It is a nice vac and really well built. Unfortunately it had a screw on connector for the hose. The cyclone hooked up to the vac with no problem, but the hose from the vac did not connect. I really wasn't worried because I had my old hose that worked fine. I sent an email thanking them for the product and just mentioned that the hose didn't work. I really didn't expect anything from it, and I wasn't mad or disappointed. I had a reply from them the following morning, and Gus and the team at Mullet were not happy that the new hose wouldn't work. They sprung into action. Within a week after hearing my dilemma they have designed and produced an adaptor that allows me to use my new hose. I recommend the product to anyone that needs dust collection. It works fantastically, but even more I recommend the team at Mullet Tools. They have gone over and above what I ever expected from them or any company these days. I truly wish them success and hope they come out with more innovative products soon, because I will be the first in line to buy them. Thank you everyone at Mullet Tools!!!
