As the brain of my DAWless setup, I use it primarily as an effects mixer for various drum machines and desktop synths. The learning curve is real, but check out guides online (those from EZBot, Midlife Synthesist, BoBeats, and SynthDawg were extremely helpful to get started). It honestly took over a year before I was comfortable using the Octatrack, but I am so glad I spent the time to learn it.

Why I did I pay this much for something that is over ten years old! I thought the mk2 would have new feature upgrades but nope! They decided to keep the same hardware and software. Just buy the original there’s no difference.
