R+Co Hypersonic Heat Styling Mist 191 ml / 6.7 oz

My hair is very straight, very dull, very prone to frizzing and flyaways, and very fine and low porosity, but I have a ton of it. Think of those old ladies from the 60s with the bouffant hair that looks like cotton candy 🙃. There's a very delicate balance when it comes to products that work for me... Anything too heavy, and my hair won't hold style, too greasy and my hair will become a disgusting strimgy mess, too light and it will take flight and do it's own thing, too wet and it will fall flat, too dry and I get a lot of damage and so much floof it's as though I have been electrified. So a little heat styling is a part of my everyday life... This is absolutely my favorite heat protectant styling product, I have never used anything quite like it. It goes on easily like a hairspray, it's invisible and you can barely feel it, but it's activated by the heat from your dryer or flat iron/curling iron and it does a fantastic job smoothing and sealing each strand, it gives a really nice light natural sheen, and really helps curls and waves gather together and hold their shape/gives definition. I have natural highlights and lowlights in my hair, this really accentuates them, I have been getting so many compliments since I started using it. It WILL NOT flake off, smell weird, or build up on your hair, and it doesn't build up or burn onto your tools either. Smells really nice, like a very light natural vanilla smell that quickly disappears. It says on the can that you can also use it for re-styling with heat, and I have found that to be true, I can go a second and third and even fourth day with a mist of salt spray, a quick blow dry, reapplying this, and re-styling, and my hair comes out just as nice as if I had just washed it. My hair holds up through 14 hours working in the emergency room, I think that's impressive! Sometimes I actually will just use it as a finishing mist too, lol. It's a little expensive but it's absolutely worth it!!!

Great quality, protects my hair well, comes out pretty dry, and smells amazing. Hair has been holding great which is extremely rare for me.

Doesn't leave hair greasy, light weight, sprays well.

As someone with naturally curly hair that reverts from straight to curly when moisture is applied, I was worried this spray would ruin the hard work of straightening my hair but it didn’t. It also didn’t leave any significant residue. I used it every other day until wash day and my hair still felt normal.

I'm relatively new to the dry heat protectant sprays and this one was recommended. First of all, the smell is divine, I really wish they'd sell this as a fragrance by itself! It's vanilla-y but warmer and wonderful! Obviously I have no idea if this is doing, chemically, what it's supposed to do but I'll continue using it. I did find out that once sprayed in your hair, it'll be a bit damp. Don't use a hot tool on it unless it's a blow dryer. For curling irons and the like, let it dry down and then use it. It was an eye-opener to hear my hair sizzle after applying my waver!!!

One of my favorite hair products. I dry my hair, then spray it in. I use curling iron (or you could use flat iron) and my style lasts for a few days.

I’ve tried many heat protectants for my fine wavy/curly hair and this is WORTH it! I spray it over wet hair and use a diffuser and it comes out so nice! It is not heavy at all yet it REALLY holds my style and maintains volume for a few days! One of the few non drugstore products I think is worth the splurge!

I LOVE this product! I use it all the time, and I’ve even gotten compliments on how good my hair smells. The texture is great—not too heavy or greasy—and it makes my hair feel super soft after I brush through it. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price—it’s a bit on the expensive side. But overall, it’s a great product and definitely one of my favorites!
