Sunnecko Damascus Chef Knife 8 inch, Professional Kitchen Knives

As someone that loves cooking but only as a hobby/survival skill, I love this knife. I honestly don't understand much about damascus but I think it's legit because I can see/feel the ridges - though it's probably in the lower end of quality (for damascus steel knives). That said, it was so lovingly sharp when it arrived and I have been trying to maintain that with a stone and honing steel. It's nice and heavy, does a great job and it's very pretty. If you don't like maintaining your kitchenware (such as sharpening knives or oiling/seasoning cast iron pans), no judgement, we are all really busy nowadays and have to choose carefully how to use our time. That said, it's only worth to spend this much on a knife if you can afford to maintain it. Otherwise, tkmaxx and tramontina sell good quality knives that are more affordable and I *personally* wouldn't feel as guilty to neglect. This is just advice, of course, I'm not trying to gatekeep, but I feel bad every time I see my knife is chipped because I forgot to take care of it.

It’s an impressive knife. It has good weight & balance, is comfortable in the hand & the edge is really quite impressive. It is almost a work of art. My first impressions are that it is outstanding. My existing knives are Japanese steel, but are very much inferior. Highly recommended.

Excellent quality. Highly recommend. This knife can easy compete with much more expensive Japanese models.

I am no expert in knifes, but I have used this knife now for now almost 2 years and have had such good experiences with it I had to gift it to a family member. It is incredibly sharp, and stays sharp with regular care. It is weighted perfectly such that I have good tactile awareness where my knife is at all times. I have not had any issues cutting meat, vegetables, and fruit with this knife, and have decreased injuries to myself infinitely ever since buying this knife

I consider this was very good value for money. The sharpness is considerable. I found it was really easy to use and the size was just right for me.

Beautiful, balanced and sharp - I love knives and am very happy with this one. It has a wonderful balance and is a beautiful blade. Time will tell how it holds an edge but so far so very good!

Das Messer ist fast täglich in Benutzung und mein drittes Damastmesser von Sunnecko. Es ist wirklich scharf und auch wenn es stumpf ist, ist es noch um einiges schärfer als herkömmliche Kochmesser. Es liegt gut in der Hand und auch gut ausbalanciert. Die Verpackung war hochwertig und eigentlich viel zu schade, um es nicht darin aufzubewahren. Aber jetzt hängt es an meinem Magnetblock. Schärfen tue ich es mit einen Horl Schärfer, das hält einige Wochen vor bei täglicher Benutzung. Von mir 5 Sterne für ein tolles Messer. Der Preis überzeugt auch
