Waverly Imperial Dress Window Panel with Tie Back - Antique Design - 52" X 84"

I recently moved into an old house in an old, established neighborhood and the curtains I was using won't work on these windows. I am old fashioned and so is my style, which makes buying any kind of decor these days a real chore. I was so happy when I saw these curtains and I KNEW they were the one's for my living room. These curtains are so pretty and heavier than I expected, and I'm very pleased about that. I like the back tabs for a more formal look or hanging with rings for a more casual feel, which also helps slide them back since I'm only 4'11" tall. I have an eye condition that causes my eyes to be really sensitive to overhead room lights and bright sunshine but I insist on not having blackout curtains because I love my home with natural light and don't want to feel like I live in a cave. The morning sun comes directly into my living room windows for about thirty minutes each morning but I like watching the birds and squirrels while having my tea. Unfortunately, I had to keep the blinds closed longer or wear my sunglasses because of the sunlight hurting my eyes. I put these curtains on rings so I can slide one side over to just the right place to block most of the sun for a little while but still enjoy the wildlife and I can see the heavily filtered light through them. No one can see in my windows on this side of the house but out of curiosity I wanted to see if at night, with all the lamps on in the living room, if they were see through from outside but you can't see through them at all. I hate blinds and even though the neighbors can't see in my windows at night on this side of the house, I felt more secure with them on the windows. I am so happy these beautiful curtains allowed me to remove those blinds! I wish they matched my China, I'd hang these in my formal dining room but it's too expensive to replace my China so my search continues for that room. I am searching for new bedding in the master bedroom, so I have decided to look for something to match these curtains to have an excuse to buy another two pair.

I am SO pleased with these curtain panels (with matching tiebacks), and valence. I had invested a great deal of time in trying to find some suitable window treatment for my family room, even getting an estimate for custom window treatment that ran into nearly a thousand dollars. But I just couldn't find a fabric that seemed right. The fabric of these panels actually seemed far too busy for the room, but in desperation I ordered them anyway----and I'm very glad I did! The fabric is much like that used for good sheets, but when hung, the texture of the fabric is not what one notices. What is striking is the beautiful combination of colors: a warm golden beige background, muted gray/greens, a vivid wine, a dusty pink, and the occasional splash of yellow. I washed the curtains and dried them on medium, since I needed them to shrink---and shrink they did, by several inches. A good ironing was definitely necessary. The matching valence is absolutely charming, but for my own needs, I shortened it by ripping out the rod-pocket stitching rows, then cutting off some of the fabric and creating a new rod pocket (I wanted to preserve the scalloped edges and trim at the bottom). I used the panels to frame a large sliding glass window, and two valences above a smaller 5' slider that had no room for panels. I highly recommend these panels/valence for the beautiful combination of colors, the lovely drape of the fabric held back by the matching tiebacks, and above all---the cost! What an inexpensive way to introduce charm into the decor of ones home...

I bought these (4 panels and 4 valances) because we are decorating the 250 yr old farmhouse we just bought. They are a touch of class and match the throw pillows I already purchased. The material is good quality, lined in a cream colored fabric on the back. They let in just a touch of sunlight when closed during the day but are thick enough to help keep the cold out of the house.

Well made! Stitching, back tabs options for different looks. So, I chose to remodel a bedroom with a bathroom suite where the window and shower get these curtains. They are very pretty in person, sturdy fabric, with multiple colors to pull from curtains as accents in the rooms, such as sheers, bathroom rugs and bath mats, you're not limited with these beautiful curtains! Love them!!

I especially like these drapes, and the fact that they are lined with white material. The colors and design are perfect for my living room. They allow just the right amount (small) of light into the room. While they did have to be ironed after washing and drying, they were easy to iron. I would like to see wider sizes offered though. Due to their narrow width, I had to order 3 pairs for one set of windows which don't look as nice as 1 pair.

Looks great in my feminine classic dining room. Nice weight and great pattern. Pleasantly surprise given the great price.

The reviews were mixed for these curtains, but I took a chance: no cigar. I did not want blackout curtains, but these are just too thin and flimsy. The header where the rod pocket is located is double thickness, and it shows dramatically when contrasted against the single thickness. That said, the color is rich and vibrant, and I do like the floral farmhouse pattern. But, these are just too skimpy and lightweight for me. Returning.

The colors and Jacobean floral pattern are perfect in the room, help to set the tone, the mood in the room. Love the curtains! And I did not know that they were lined--so glad that they are, the lining is sewn into the hems all around, excellent, helps them hang straight.

I absolutely LOVE this Curtain! It is such a pretty pattern and I’ve received so many compliments!

Because the price was so reasonable, I wasn't sure what to expect. But Waverly provided a quality product. Nice cotton fabric. Well made. Deep pockets at the top to allow choice of wide or narrow rods. The pattern "Imperial Dress, Antique" met my expectations in colour and pattern. I love how they added a bit drama to my living/dining room. Cozy too.
