British M - Urban Matte Clay

This clay lasts me for months. Very little is needed to shape my hair, which is fairly thick. It does not feel greasy when applying, though it is very thick. I recommend applying it when the hair is slightly damp to allow for easier application and a slight sheen.

I thought this was fragrance free but I must have mixed it up with another pomade I was looking at. Literally made me gag and didn’t go away. Had to wash my hair again to get it off. Gross

This is a clay type pomade or styling product. It is made in Korea. I normally use SemiSumo from Bumble and Bumble on my flyaway hair and ends. This product has more hold and no shine to it. It works easily 8nto my fine hair with no flaking or obvious bulk. Works all day for me. I tried it on my husband’s hair which is short and very curly. It did a great job shaping without crushing his curls. The scent is a very light sweet floral to my nose. Very transient. I was expecting a more masculine scent but this is very gender neutral. We both really like it.

This product arrived in a bubble mailer and was broken. Glass jars should be mailed in a box. Unfortunately there were tiny pieces of class in the product because the jar was busted on the top and the bottom. However I was able to salvage a small amount of the product to test. I did like the styling clay. It gave some structure and hold. Had a pleasant smell. Melts into the hair easily. I recommend the seller if possible to request the jars to be shipped in boxes instead of the bubble mailers.

This British M Urban Matte hair clay gets an enthusiastic two thumbs up and 5 stars from my son. He says it holds very well and smell great. And it washes out clean. He didn't want to be photographed but he's got quite a bit of thick hair in big natural curls. If he doesn't use product and then runs his hand through his hair he ends up with a "white boy 'fro" -- a look he doesn't care for. So he uses product to set his curls. He told me to make sure I pass on a tip - lots of hair product is meant to be applied while the hair is still damp. This product should be applied when you hair is dry. I suspect it took him a little trial and error to figure that out.
