which valve/spigot will fit? I ordered this one but it was too large. "Reliance Products Replacement Spigot Assembly for Reliance Water Containers"

I ordered another spigot and it did not fit was to big. A shame because the included spout does not allow for a smooth pour. I loose about a gallon of water when trying to pour from this beast. The 2.5 gal is better. It would be nice if there was a spout that allowed for a smooth transfer from the 7 to the 2.5 gal. best of luck. Dave - from the water contamination capital of charleston wv. I just received mine today. I don't see any way to completely close the lid so that water will not splash out during transport?

Just invert the spout down into the container, put the solid plastic piece over that and then the screw on lid.

Does this come with the spigot, or a spout? The desciption says spigot, but the picture is of a spout??

It comes with just a spout, not a spigot. You can cap the spout with the included cap, and then for actual transport, you take the spout off and it stores upside-down inside the mouth. It all works pretty well, but no, no spigot is provided.

Good for drinking water?

I used it to transfer water to my Travel Trailer while "Dry" camping. The water was ultimately used for drinking. So, Yes. I don't know about long term.
