Used the metallic sleeve for an unusual application!
We own a farm house which we renovated several years ago. We installed a very expensive shower stall with multiple showers. Then we discovered we had a rat problem. This issue was resolved. However the new shower that had tygon tubing running to the various shower jets was chewed up very badly. We wanted to prevent this from happening again. So we did our research and discovered the 1” tinned copper sleeves on Amazon. To our surprise this metallic sleeve actually fit over the 3/4” tygon tubing and provided a sturdy barrier against rat teeth. We haven’t seen or heard anymore rats however we wanted a protective measure against this happening again. Result: So far so good!

Removed interference on Bass Boat Electronics
I installed this on my Mega 360 and 2D transducer cabling as I was getting bad interference from my Minn Kota Ultrex trolling motor. This kit was long enough to sleeve 3 cables along trolling motor cable and large enough diameter to fit over the Mega 360 transducer connection.

Works perfectly for shielding 24AWG looms
Made up some Les Paul wiring looms with this and 24AWG silicone covered wire. Brilliant. Also arrived quickly and is as described.

7.3 Powerstroke upgrade from foil
Worked great as a wire shield for a 1997 F350 7.3. Make sure you still wrap the drain (bare silver wire) around the shield to make good contact. Was used when replacing the injector and glow plug connectors. Easily fits around the 3 de pinned connectors with a bit of tape around them to make the shield slide over easier.

Tinned copper sheilding
Work well but was difficult to feed wire through. The product arrives flat so you have to find a way to open it up before you feed your wire through.
