It is not stiff. It has a bottom panel insert that helps but will not hold it's shape.

Hi its a pretty big bag, at 25 x 11 x 12.5 this bag is about 51 Liters, but the center of the bag will be a little smaller because that includes the pockets. We would say safely it would be 40 L.
