Set Booster Box

Set boosters are a ton of fun if you enjoy cracking booster packs. Obviously you should buy singles if you care about value, but there are some very cool cards you can open here. And they are undeniably a ton of fun to open and to find out what you get. The foil Japanese lands are gorgeous, the ninja/samurai frames are really cool, and there are some genuinely good/fun cards that can be opened in this set even at rare. Plus, you get a foil in every pack, which is awesome. The funny thing was, my box seemed to be mis-printed or mis-collated. In EVERY pack, there was a Kamigawa Commander rare/mythic before the normal rare/mythic slot. In some packs, you can get this, however it appears that my box got all of them. This means I got 2 - 6 copies of each one. This helped with the value of the box thanks to getting a couple Go-Shintai of Life's Origin. Don't expect this in every box, I haven't seen a single other box that had this behavior. It is another example of WOTC's rampant printing/sorting errors, it was just nice that this time it was in my favor.

One of my favorite sets

I purchased 1 box and it came a little dinged up, but nothing serious. I suppose that's the cost of transit. Rigorously, I went over the shrink wrap, the box and each pack to make sure they were not opened and resealed. Everything checked out, from what I could tell. It shipped super quickly. I was happy with my initial purchase, so I acquired a second. Set Boosters have been enjoyable to open and were a nice vacation from draft boosters.

There are some real neat cards in this set, great art too. They also snuck references to TMNT in there which was a fun touch. If you are looking for rare cards, go for set boosters (this box has set boosters). They may have less cards than draft boosters, but they have a guaranteed rare or mythic card in the booster, as well as an art card.

The only con was some cards weren't flush in the packaging which had me to believe it could be tampered or something I just don't see how all the cards aren't equally the same bent. Either way every pack had a foil and art card so whose to say it's not paranoia. Might try again with a more recent set. ( as the box could've been this easy prior to then getting it)

WOTC / Papa Hasbro are ready to produce for 2022 : MTG is a living franchise has seen & survived any regressions to the means that bring the cardboard world the Crown . Kamigawa is a true testament for SO MANY GREAT REASONS! Best set of coherent mechcanics for all gametypes - EDH -Standard - overall the set has an equilibrium that WILL SET A NEW STATUS QUO of what to expect from WOTC for years to come.

I managed to get some really high end hits out of this set. I don't think you'll find it at a reasonable price anymore though, so that may change the value proposition. If you see it for a good special though, well worth picking it up! As always with cracking packs, results may vary

Kamigawa is such a fun set, I absolutely love this release. You get a lovely mixture of Japanese samurai culture with futuristic themes.
