Fear has a color. It’s the gruesome glow of yellow, wielded by the totalitarian tyrant Sinestro and his Yellow Lanterns. And now the entire universe is bathed in its sinister light. The Sinestro Corps have replaced the Green Lanterns as the peacekeepers of the galaxy. Oa, the homeworld of the Guardians and their Green Lantern Corps, is no more. In its place at the center of the universe orbits Warworld, Sinestro’s home base. The Green Lanterns have vanished, leaving no one to oppose the Sinestro Corps’ reign of terror. No one, that is, except the last Lantern: Hal Jordan. Convicted of crimes he didn’t commit, reduced to a being of pure thought and will, Hal must now battle back from the brink to reform the Corps and free all of creation from his archenemy’s iron fist. Sinestro’s word is law…but Hal Jordan is the lawbreaker! Collects issues #1-7 and the HAL JORDAN AND THE GREEN LANTERN CORPS: REBIRTH one-shot special. Review: Mejores historias de Hal Jordan - Uno de mis runs favoritos. Review: Great New GL Series, Though You will Need to Have Read the Previous New 52 Series and the Sinestro Solo Series to Understand It - Rebirth kicks off the new Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern series by reigniting the old rivalry between Hal and Sinestro. While the Green Lanterns series sees Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz protecting Earth, this new title brings together all of the galaxy-spanning other titles into one new series. This volume picks up where the New 52 Green Lantern and Sinestro titles left off: the Green Lantern Corps has all gone missing aside from Hal (who had previously gone renegade) and Simon and Jessica. While the latter two protect Earth, Hal reforges his own ring and sets off to confront the Sinestro Corps which has become the dominant peace keeping force in the galaxy. Sinestro appears to be on death's door after using up his power to defeat the Paling on Earth and has given his Corps over to his daughter, only to revitalize himself using Parallax and reveal a sinister new chapter in his rule. With Sinestro's true colors on display, Hal heads to confront his enemy and take as many Sinestro Corps members out in a blaze of glory. The book is a direct continuation of the New 52 GL stories so if you haven't read them you'll probably be a bit lost. Overall this is one of the few Rebirth titles I've seen so far that isn't easy to pick up blind. The book doesn't do the best job explaining where the GL Corps disappeared to, why Hal was renegade, or why Sinestro's Corps had become the new galaxy police (aside from a few brief moments of exposition). Furthermore, as a huge fan of the way Sinestro's solo title ended (with the Fear Corps essentially accepting their newfound roles as heroes) I was majorly disappointed to see this title immediately undo that with Sinestro taking control back from his daughter and getting all diabolical on everyone. As much as I appreciate the fact that the book continues to explore the idea that Sinestro thinks he is a hero and believes in his cause, it was a letdown to see him go so over the top villainous again. All that said, this is an action packed and fun story overall that sets the new status quo going forward for the GL Corps. With Hal and some of the heavy hitting GLs back on the scene it looks to be a great return to form for the series after the New 52 run dipped in quality after the Wrath of the First Lantern event. Also, while I am sad to see Sinestro's fall back to over the top villain, it was cool to see that some of his Corps splinters off near the end to follow his daughter and continue the trend of not all Sinestro Corps members being out and out villains.

Venditti... AND HAL at the top of their game
I have been a Hal Jordan Green Lantern enthusiast long before Geoff Johns came along and had an AMAZING run on the character starting with Green Lantern Rebirth... and here we are with Vendittis BEST arc yet: Green Lantern Rebirth. This one is right up there with Geoff Johns run. Venditti has steadily gotten better and better with almost every arc (though i do think Godhead was better than Renegade). His writing on this one makes me excited to see what's coming next. I highly suggest people check his one out... ESPECIALLY those that left Green Lantern when Geoff Johns left

The Green Lantern Corps
Another great GL book. Thinking you're the last Green Lantern and not pout about it is Hal Jordan. A man on a mission to save the universe from Sinestro. Oh-rah!!

One of the best Hal Jordan stories I have ever read
One of the best Hal Jordan stories I have ever read, it's like the Dark Knight Rises of Hal Jordan Stories

Solid but....
Solid. And I like Venditti. But like all Green Lantern stories - it starts off good and ends in some major war with aliens or another Yellow/red/lantern force. Problem solved, but with nothing really solved. Rinse Repeat each TPB.

A fresh start
Fantastic jumping on point for new readers. Action packed with great art by Race Sandoval! You get a sense of the universe spanning Green Lantern lore.

Continues my favourite Green Lantern Story
The battle between the yellow and green lanterns continues in this thrilling volume. (This story makes more sense with context from the Sinestro Corps comics)

Robert, Rafa, and Ethan you guys rock!
Bloody fantastic! Robert Vendetti won me over again. I read his Hawkman run which I absolutely loved and now this is just unbelievably good. Stories like this simply cannot be adapted, this is a comic book at its best and better than any other medium and mostly because of the mind blowing Artists working on this. I will not say a lot about art because it's best to experience it. Ethan and Rafa on top of their game

Empolgou!
Já tinha um bom tempo que eu não lia um bom título dos Lanternas, mas Robert Venditti mudou isso em Hal Jordan & Green Lantern, os detalhados desenhos de Sandoval e Van Sciver também colaboram muito para a qualidade da história.
