Locked phone - refund "pending"?
So I've had a decent relationship with these refurbished phones. In fact the most of them have been really good phones. But I decided to buy my son a Google 6 Pro. Because that's what he wanted and I have not ever had any dealings with them but I have Spectrum mobile. Before I ordered the phone I checked Spectrum mobile to make sure that the phone would work and yes the Google pixel 6 Pro was on the list of phones that would work with spectrum. So of course the anticipation of a new phone excited my son and finally the day came and we took out his SIM card from his old phone and put it in the new phone and it would not work. So I said Son don't worry about it we will go to Spectrum tomorrow and we will get this taken care of. So we are at Spectrum and the guy is looking up the phone and guess what? The phone was an AT&T phone and it still was under contract. The phone was still under contract. I could not use the phone so I wound up buying my son a brand new Google pixel 7 Pro at the Spectrum store. Which means that I had to return the case that I ordered, the glass screen protector and the phone. Within a few days I had already received the refund for the screen protector and the case. I requested the refund for the phone on March 18th of 2023. They received the phone on March 22nd 2023. The tracking said that the phone had been received by them and when I go and check the refund status it says that they will refund my money when they get the phone. They've had the phone now for 2 weeks and I still not received the refund. I have no way of getting a hold of this company I have very limited ways of contacting anyone and so the only thing I can do is leave a one-star review. Is it this is going to do anything. I do know that I hate one star reviews. I've criticized so many people for leaving one star reviews especially when it comes to anything as far as art and how subjective art is to leave a one-star review is just ignorant but in this case I'm going to let that fly because they have $350 of my money that they seem to not want to get back. Maybe they will see this and decide to get off their rumps and refund my money. Just as an example I had ordered a pair of boots recently and the boots were $250. When I received them they were the most uncomfortable boots I ever worn and I work in a factory on concrete floor so comfort in your work boots is really important. So I boxed them up and returned them and they have not even received the box yet and they've already refunded my money. I don't know what's taking this company so long to refund my money but it would seem to me seeing as how they sold me a locked and under contract phone that as soon as they see that it was on its way they should have refunded my money. But they've had it for 2 weeks and they still have not refunded my money so I don't know what's going on but this review will stay until I get my money back and once I get it I might delete this review.

Great like-new phone for the money, but not perfect
So far this is a great phone for the money. I switched from a pixel 3A on T-mobile and wow... what an upgrade! Switching SIMS was simple and the phone works great. The camera and editing features in Google Photos is fantastic. The phone operates smoothly and the fingerprint reader issues seem to have been minimized with recent updates. The phone arrived 5 days early, bubble-wrapped inside in a no-frills box with a sim card tool, a charger, and some basic instructions, but aside from the phone, nothing was official Google material (which is fine).Surprisingly, the phone was already partially set up and ready to use. All that was needed was to continue was to sign into my google account, but I elected to do a factory reset and start from scratch for security reasons. The reset went as smoothly as with a brand new phone.Set up was easy, and I have to say that Google has finally perfected the old-to-new-phone switchover process - all you need is a double USB-C cord (not included, but I've collected several of them over the years). Just plug the phones together when prompted and follow the instructions on the screens, and in a few minutes you'll have a new phone that is basically a clone of your old phone as far as texts, contacts, and apps, and it even kept all my old settings in tact so I had almost NO resetting to do! It was incredibly easy... it even preserved my alarm clock settings... impressive! There was some waiting involved for the new phone to update and whatnot, but that's to be expected. I've had the phone for 2 days and so far it's been excellent. If you can wait a year after the original release, turns out you can have a top-tier flagship phone at a third of the cost of a new one... I may never buy another new phone again.UPDATE: After having the phone for a few days, a few words about some negatives I've encountered...First, the power and volume buttons are not the best. There's no "click" feeling to let you know you've registered a press. They seem to work fine, but without looking at the screen, you can't be sure that you're actually activating the buttons, and because of this, I feel like I probably press them harder than I need to(?) Anyway, not a major issue, but certainly a noticeable one.Second, Google has STILL NOT fixed a really annoying bug for those of us who use the phone as a clock at night. When you plug the phone in to charge, then set it on the night table, the clock screensaver WILL NOT WORK unless you have facial recognition turned on, and even then it only works in portrait mode... meaning if you have the phone on its side in landscape orientation, the time is shown sideways as though the phone is still sitting vertically. Again, it's not a major problem, but it is annoying, and I can't believe it hasn't been fixed this many months after it broke (since the Android 13 update). People have been complaining about this on the internet for months, and it seems like it should be an easy fix, but for whatever reason it isn't happening.

Decent condition phone at a good price
The phone ordered was a "Premium Renewed" condition phone from Chubbiestech. The phone arrived in exactly the condition described by the seller. It does show light signs of use and I had to give it a quick clean before use, but everything works as expected and diagnostics passed without issue. Aside from the very minor scratches / scuffs from normal use, the screen is in great condition with zero burn in or other issues. The battery seems to be lasting decently, with 524 cylces and a manufacture date of August 29th, 2021, although I cannot compare it to the battery performance of a brand new Pixel since I do not have one on hand. Overall this is a great choice for a phone at this price point, even in 2024

A phenomenal phone
The Pixel 6 Pro is THEE "smartest* phone I've ever owned. The ways it learns your behaviors and adapts to them is quite impressive. The tips it provides are equally impressive, showing you how to get the best out of each capability. Getting Android and app updates ASAP is wonderful. The camera, especially the magic eraser, is truly phenomenal. The fact you can even take older photos and use the Pixels abilities to enhance and erase is just *MAGIC*.Pros - Beautiful screen, amazing camera, incredibly smart, EASY to use. And for music fans - this phone is fantastic. The speaker itself sounds like a mini speaker, sometimes better. And all Bluetooth audio is outta this world. It made my already fantastic headphones (Soundcore Liberty 3 pro's) sound 3x better. It even makes me little Amazon Echo 4 sound like 2 of them.Theres a few cons, and some that could scare people when they first get the phone. And they're all centered around the battery.Charging the phone is rather slow compared to most other flagships, especially with what OnePlus is doing. Then the battery life itself is rather poor until the phone learns your behaviors, and as a user you also need to learn some things to get peak performance from your battery life.Which is possible.Overall - 8/10 and HIGHLY recommend.

Slammer step up from Galaxy 8
I was still running on an Galaxy S8, yea, needed an upgrade. I got mine a reconditioned one so the price I paid was the same as the non pro model. Budget wise I was planning on spending the cost of the regular 6 but couldn't justify the additional cost for the camera upgrade. I'm just not a big camera user. BUT! when I seen the reconditioned on for the same price, you bet I jumped on that. THIS THING IS AWESOME! Ok, maybe I'm being over dramattic but it is a very nice phone. My S8 had a brighter screen, but the resolution on the 6Pro is awesome. Typically I only run about 50% anyways. So if your a person that is always in the sun then might not be as nice. But who is anyway. GET THE FREAKIN P!HONE! Yes the finger print scanner on the 6Pro is not as fast as the one on my S8 but it's still pretty fast. Sometimes I feel like it doesn't wake up on first touch but I think I'm just no pressing hard enough. And the battery life... OMG.... Awesome. Let be known that I'm not one that is always on my phone but I do have to do a lot of 2FA stuff for work so i am waking it up many times during the work day. But I don't play on it during work either. OH! and the bluetooth range is awesome. Twice the distance of my S8, so much that when I was walking outside my home and suddenly realized I didn't have my phone on me but my music was still jamming. Yes it's a little bit larger than the Galaxy S8 (but what phone today isn't, LOL). But after using the Pixel 6Pro for a few days I had to get something off my S8 and it felt tiny. LOL. Did I tell you yet..... BUY THE PHONE! LOL. Good luck.

Camera has to save a lot of negatives
Oh man, where to start. I guess I got too used to Motorola version of Android and unfortunately found more negatives in my daily use than positives, one of which was due to buying a used phone. In the end, the camera has a lot to make up for.Pros –- VERY fast and snappy, even after I set the screen to 60Hz to save on battery(I also set animations to .5sec in developer options).-No problem with phone calls. I can hear people fine and no one has complained yet on the other end(Mint Mobile)-WiFi calling is available via Mint Mobile-Stabilization works really well in video mode. I had originally purchased a Motorola Edge 2022 (not the + version) and didn’t think the OIS there was doing anything at all. On the Pixel, the video is noticeably stabilized while walking.-Photos are a level above from my Moto G Stylus 2021. Telephoto, ultrawide all shoot excellent-Photos come out sharp in just about every circumstance I can throw at it. Whether it is just because of the screen or the photos, when I show people my pictures on my phone they usually say “wow, that is a good picture” or something like that.-Low light shots I took around a fire were really good and I think the HDR worked in my favor(no upload for this due to people in shot)-Love the look of the phone and love the look of the curved glass. It came in great condition with one caveat***-Battery life is good. Battery saver is amazing and Extreme Battery Saver even more. Besides the most essential apps, you can choose what you want to run. I just chose my Brave browser and I could surf the web for a good hour to 2 hours and only lose battery in the single digits.-Does not overheat so far as some reported so appears the update to Android 13 was a good thing.-Happy to have NFC again-I like wireless charging so I don’t have to worry about wear and tear on the USB C port. I’m not a power user so charging speeds are plenty good for me. Reverse wireless charging did work on my Tozo case but I doubt I will use that feature much-Bluetooth is strong. Again, vs my old Stylus, my Tozo NC9 true wireless buds would cut in and out depending on where I had my phone and sometimes had to move it to another pocket. I’m glad to say no cutouts yet with the Pixel on the same headphones.-Youtube Videos look great-Speakers are nice and loud. Fuller sound and not so tinny as other phones I’ve had.Cons –-First thing was the Search bar on the bottom. It was staring me in the face in all the reviews but no one mentioned you cannot remove it or even move it. If I could have at least moved it to the top, I would not have installed a new launcher but I had to install Nova launcher to get my home screen setup the way i like. This is something where I think Motorola nails the true Android experience better than Google, i.e. more customizable.-Build quality and quality control may be suspect. It just doesn't feel solid compared to my G Stylus.-While in most conditions I’m loving the HDR, I can now see where it can be overzealous. My night time shots looked great but when I took a picture of a dog on the carpet(it’s uploaded with this review), the carpet REALLY stood out and looked odd. Yes, it was nice and sharp but did come off overprocessed. This thing is definitely quick and at least in photos, does not seem to hunt for focus before taking a shot. I can definitely see some delay in my older phones now compared to this.-At first, I thought the fingerprint scanner was fine and wondered what everyone was complaining about as played with it with no issues right out of the box. I found out it wasn't as good when I go for my walks whereas my G Stylus 2021 and the regular Edge 2022 I had just for a short bit had no issues with fingerprint sensors while walking. The more I used it, the more I found I had to hit the spot just right or make sure to hold still, concentrate and place my index finger carefully. It's not horrible, it just not as good. I may need to re-enter my thumb.-Another issues owners did point out that I thought would not be a problem was the curved screen but in the end they were right. Yes, it can cause issues with navigation when “holding it wrong” and you are touching the edges. One example was scrolling on a webpage went crazy by scrolling very fast back and forth. It doesn’t happen often but it will eventually if your thumb or index are touching the edge while your other index finger is trying to select or scroll. But damnit, to me it looks so good.-Activating the camera or flashlight not as easy as on a Motorola. They also changed the icons on the lock screen. No more camera icon on the lock screen was a letdown so I can’t easily open the camera that way as a workaround. I thought setting the double-tap on the back to open the camera would be a good workaround as it worked pretty good on the flashlight though a little more troublesome with a case and annoyingly your screen must be on for the double-tap to work. Not unlocked just woken up with a tap or picking up the phone. With Motorola phones, it does not matter if the screen is off, the double shake will turn on the flashlight. Unfortunately, the camera does not open if the screen is locked even if it awake. This is where I had to depend on the double-tap of the power button. More on that at the end.****Nitpicks --No built-in clock widget that also shows weather. Motorola has this but I had to get a 3rd party app to get the clock/weather I like but still disappointed in the design of it.-Android 13 or maybe 12 introduced a different way to set your phone on vibration or silent. I just thought it was plain dumb to make a pop-up to choose when it is so tiny. To me, it was much easier to just click on the same icon once or twice. With the pop-up it always makes me pause before choosing. Conclusion – for as much research as I did on the phone, I thought I would enjoy it much more. Sadly, all I could do was compare it to my previous Motorola phones(they just need to up their camera game).****BIGGEST con(due to being a used phone) – After googling, posting on an official Pixel forum and receiving a response from one of their Gold Product Experts, I found out the power button is supposed to be as “clicky” as the volume buttons. It is NOT on this phone and it may be the biggest reason I return it. It makes it very difficult to activate the camera consistently on the first try, lock the screen, turn off/restart the phone and I also worry about the longevity of its functionality. I absolutely would be upset if I had to pay 100-150 bucks to repair the power button in a year or two from now, if that is even possible and hopefully does not ruin its waterproofing.****(Pics and videos included. Since I am limited to one video by Amazon, I decided to render the 5 videos at 4K resolution with 30fps. Keep that in mind if they don’t look good to you. I would have preferred loading each camera and fps setting separately. I’ve uploaded a mixture of standard, telephoto and ultra-wide shots along with indoor and outdoor.)Update 3/9/2023 - Experienced another issue(besides fingerprint) that some users mentioned in that the Pixel 6 Pro does not have good reception. I've had a couple occasions now where I got the no mobile network found, something I have not encountered on my Moto G Stylus. One suggestion is to turn off Adaptive Connectivity(it is supposed to save battery life) so I will try that.

Esperienza tutto sommato molto positiva.

batteria a 0
