If you have a loud tapping most likely it’s this part.
Fixed my 2018 Silverado!! I thought I had a lifter tap but it ended up being this part!! Pretty simple install. Price is extremely reasonable and made my truck run normal again! It will still make a ticking noise but not as loud as the old one that was sticking internally. Fast to install compared to a lifter!! No leaks here the rubber o-ring is good quality too. But when you install it put a little engine oil on the o-ring to make the installation easier. In the video you can hear my truck idling normally it used to be rough. Picture is the old part 100% match and function. I’ll will also replace the evap solenoid that by the gas tank to seeming that it’s a part routinely changed.

P0446 SOLVED!
This was the last part I replaced following an exasperating trial and error method of fixing a P0446 code on my 2018 Buick LaCrosse 3.6 V6 I have never had a single problem with this vehicle, getting around 40MPG HWY and 36 Combined. Around 70K miles, the CEL began a tiring routine of showing every now and then. It seemed random. I found a service bulletin regarding the carbon canister vent. It is attached to the filler pipe behind the right rear wheel housing. By removing the tire, wheel well enclosure, and cleaning the small spongy filter media, I thought I had fixed the problem. A few weeks later, the CEL with P0446 code reappeared. Prior to the cleaning of the media, I had experienced difficulty filling the tank, having the gas nozzle click off repeatedly, accompanied with a smell of gas in the car. Now, after more research, I thought the carbon canister may be the culprit, as the vent media was clean and venting. There is also a solenoid on the carbon canister that can be another issue. The huge headache is that the carbon canister is affixed to the gas tank (which must be lowered to permit removal of the canister from the mounting). Rather not wishing to take a chance on replacing the solenoid, putting it back together and still getting the P0446 code, I opted to purchase a good, used carbon canister (with solenoid) from a very low milage vehicle that had been salvaged for parts. Now, at 93K miles, I thought it may need a new one anyhow. Work completed, I happily filled the gas tank (need to be nearly empty when you lower it) and drove until the CEL P0446 light reappeared. The last part in the system is this part, the one I have pictured, and believe it or not, after installing, it solved the problem. I know, it is labeled here and, on the box, as a Vapor Canister Vent Valve, and avoiding all possible discussion, and why it would trip the P0446, I really don't care because it was obviously the problem and now it is no more. So, if you get the P0446 CEL Code, and you have no other driving issues (you would not even know there was a problem as the car ran great with the light on, and the MPG stayed exactly the same with no stalling or sputtering ar anything) Try this part first, go to the vent behind the wheel next, and the cannister last. This is a genuine GM part, wears the hologram (see picture) and is at a great price.

Good replacement part
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Good quality brand and cost. Replacement value: Good value. I did have to put a dab of oil on the o ring to get it in place.
