DIY Ford blank key that can be re-written at home.
Works great to reprogram if you already have two existing keys to a Ford F-150. It only takes a minute and can be done in your driveway--very simple and you can find instructions on the internet. I will add that the truck has a maximum of 8 keys the memory will hold, so if you exceed eight spare keys, the vehicle will no longer write new keys and you'll have to go to the dealer to get the vehicle key bank wiped, then restored.

Will never buy again, would not program
I will never buy this type of key again. I purchased multiple just in case the first one didn't work...and it didn't, and neither did the second one. The process to get these configured is convoluted but I had done it before without issue with a different brand, meaning I was able to perform the process myself, without going to the dealer. The first key, would not program, period, nothing I could do would make it work. So, to keep from utterly wasting all the money I spent on these I took the car to the dealer to paid them to try with the second key. No joy (but at least they didn't actually charge me). They also couldn't get the first key to work. I then purchased a copy from a local big box store which programmed the first time. Yes, it was more expensive at the big box store, more than even two of these, but at least it worked (and was cheaper than the several hundred dollars that the dealer wanted). I would rate as zero stars if I could.

Beats the cost of the dealership and WORKS!!!
If you have the 2 original keys for the vehicle (or @ least for my experience) get them cut and easy to program to work. Because of copyrights I am guessing the only thing I seen missing is the Oval with Ford stamped on the key. Replaced because my key and fob broke at the connecting loops. NOW if you do not have the 2 original keys you will need Vehicle Key Card w/Cut Code and can get a Dealership to cut them and program the keys; but they rather sell you their more expensive blanks explaining they seen them fail they won't work but there's no difference except for the Stamp with Oval and Ford. Very Pleased save me $$$$

Perfect for a 2007 Ford Focus
If you have 2 existing keys that work, you can have these cut for cheap, and program them yourself. If not, you might as well buy them through the locksmith you have cut and program them. To program (with two existing keys): 1. Insert working key #1, turn to ON position (2nd click) 2. Wait for security light to go from solid, to off (small red car/lock light in instrument cluster) 3. Turn to off, and remove key 4. Within a few seconds, repeat process with working key #2. 5. Again within a few seconds, repeat process with new key #1 6. Repeat with any additional new keys Once complete, attempt to start car with each key to confirm programming. There is a limit of 8 keys that can be programmed at any given time, and the only way to clear them is to have a dealer do it, or purchase a cable and software to do it yourself. A decent locksmith can do this for you typically cheaper than a dealer.

These worked Perfectly!!!!
The Ford dealer was going to charge me $59 per key. Then another $200 + to program them. I bought these. I took them to my local Hardware store. Convinced them to cut them for me. Another $12 ish. Then followed a very simple youtube video and WaLa!!! Perfect. They work great. Programmed the first timeโฆ I may buy more just to have them.. ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ

Comparable to factory quality, but a FRACTION of the price.
A fraction of the cost compared to dealerships or Canadian Tire. The dealership wanted $70.00 CAD for one key. These were only about $30.00 for the pair (cost plus shipping). Canadian Tire offered the keys at $40.00 each. However, Canadian Tire was happy to cut these blanks for me at no charge, but they wouldn't guarantee the keys would work. But they worked fine and were very easy to program. The quality of the metal and plastic seem to be on par with my car's original keys. $15.00 vs $40.00 vs $70.00 Easy choice!
