Infinite. Only the illumination varies inversely with the square of the distance.

Does it remember the mode between turning it off & on?

No, always the same sequence. It only "remembers" full power white after it has been off for more than 10 seconds or so.

I need to buy more than one, how can I do that ?

There should be a drop down for you to choose how many you want. I know when you check out at your cart there is a drop down to add more.
