Since I bought a hybrid vehicle, I needed to install a car battery charger. The challenge was making sure all the electrical connections were correct. Totally amazed with this tester. First let me say it came super fast and as described. At first I was a little concerned because the price was low. So it arrived today and I went straight to testing it. as a licensed electrician I had my doubts. So I plugged it into my house outlets. Knowing my outlets were wired correctly it did exactly what I should expect and tested correctly. Even shows the volts in a digital display. Now I went to my garage and on my bench tester I was able to create a situation that was incorrect wiring. And sure enough this tester caught each wiring issue I could throw at it. Also I do like how its constructed. It's small and fits right into my tool pouch. And also fits into my tool box nicely. For the price you cant beat it. And I've purchased mistakes in the past but this seems to be one of those wins. So if your on the fence about purchasing this item dont be. Buy it now while you can and while the price is still low.

Another good product I bought and use all the time--easy to use.--Just plug it in,

works as described/promised, but this plug takes up space ... so if you have other stuff plugged into the outlet, chances are you'll need to unplug everything before using this big plug. with that being said, readings are spot on ... instantaneous ... and display is bright to display ... even in the outdoors with moderate sun ...

That package got out in time. It is well packaged. It’s easy to use just as displayed on the package. It has various quotes that tells you everything from reverse polarity to correct voltage, Including grounding faults. On the Bottom right of the tester There is also Built into the unit GC test facility, which is tested at 5 mA. I would highly recommend this, but both place and Usage simply it does what it says it does and with a clear Green lighted display.

No wires to stick in (which may limit its functionality if you want to use to test wires instead of outlets). Does 3-prong outlets only; I haven't tried it with an adapter on a two-prong outlet. Can test regular outlets and GFIC outlets. So easy to read. But more than that -- it test several things: -- gives you exact volts so you can make sure it's not just powered but powered correctly -- tells you if the outlet is wired correctly (e.g. polarity, neutral, hot, ground, etc) While the ones with the wires ending in metal tips might have more universal testing ability, it feels (and I think is) so much safer just to plug this in without holding on to wires. This was perfect for my needs to check outlets in my old house!
