Marinco 10082 12V Electronic Horn with White Grill

It's pretty loud. These are a higher with than car horns usually are. I needed to use a Dremmel to round out the opening but it didn't take more than 10 minutes.

sound quality is good and loud, make sure you measure your hole before you purchase! Have been very happy with the purchase. Build quality is there and matched my factory horn in my driver console of the boat.

Okay, I'd give this a 1, however, the description is correct, it's an "Electronic Piezo horn sound" which I didn't read carefully. Just sounds like a loud game show buzzer..... This is an awful sound! sounds like a stupid toy boat. I hate it, but it's loud and will work. I'll be embarrassed to ever use the horn expect for when leaving the marina and in emergencies. Also, it's 4" spacing for the screws, which is not clearly defined in the description. My hole spacing is 4" so the screw spacing is fine. I had to figure this out by reading the reviews. The horn does NOT fit in the standard hole spacing for a traditional hole since a traditional horn is an oval shape vs the round shape of the piezo buzzer. I'll just dermal out the existing hole and make it fit. See pictures. Please make sure you buy some kind of rubber sheet for a gasket, cut to size and place between boat and horn. Seal with rubber clear drying sealer or caulking to keep water out! Place the seal between boat and gasket as well as gasket and back side of horn! I don't feel like returning it and getting a regular sounding horn, so I'll just install it.

Horn installed easily and sound was very loud. Used in a 2005 Hurricane boat.

What in the actual.....? This thing sounds like smoke detector, and no, NOT a loud one. What is wrong with this company MARINCO that can't sell a horn that sounds like a horn and doesn't die as soon as water hits it? Read every review on every electric horn and its the same thing. Doesn't sound like a horn, or, it let water in and died. Those are the ONLY TWO THINGS IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO! Sound like a HORN, and work around WATER! YOU FAIL!!!

Great fit and quality!

Was relatively easy to install--retrofit. Connection wires were very thin gauge compared to the boat electrical harness. Very unimpressive weak horn sound--close to useless. The guys at the dock were laughing when I asked them what they thought of my new horn. Would not purchase again or recommend. Hope it will be legal if I get stopped for an inspection.

A good quality none obstructed install for the above deck ugly horn. Requires cutting a hole in the deck.
