If you're tired of the hood of your vette falling on your head because the struts went bad...these are the fix. Inexpensive replacements for the OEM part - dirt cheap at $17 a pair. They showed up, it took me maybe 15 minutes from the time I started unwrapping the plastic until I was done installing them - including the 5 minutes it took to find a pipe of the right length to hold up the hood. The old ones came off using a long shafted, thin bladed standard screwdriver. Slide it right under the retainer clip on the bottom mount and it pops off. The one attached to the hood came off without my having to even use the screwdriver - on both sides. Mounting was easier. Mount point on the body - push the female end of the strut over the mount and push. Clicks in place. Repeat for the one on the hood and the other side. Sincerely, no joke, 15 minutes tops from start to finish. Tested them twice to make sure and they are doing a great job of holding the hood in place with smooth motion down. If you can use a screwdriver, you can replace these - and I know how touchy vette owners can be as I've had five (my wife is now the owner of #4 which is the 2007 I just repaired) but this was easier than changing the air filter. Cheap. Easy. Cant ask for more.

I bought these for my 2011 GS Corvette. The factory struts were not holding the hood up well. Typical for these after a few years. I suspect the under hood heat from the tightly cowled engine cause them to fail. Also the Florida heat. I've had them on for 1 year. and are working like new. A good price for a dependable strut.

Fits a C6 without issues.
