Low is easy: zero. High and average speeds?...Yes. It DISPLAYS whatever the current speed is. Concur that Mr. Barrows did a great job answering. I have a system from Costco that transmits to a weather station. Included is a USB transponder and PC software. The weather station communicates with the transponder, displaying weather info on the PC. Transponder data is downloadable in CSV format, which allows it to be loaded into Excel. Data recording frequency can be set by the user. Nice system for under $100. Wind speeds between the bicycle odometer based system and the weather station are equivalent.

Is the display unit weather proof?

No, it is only "water resistant". They recommend you NOT leave it outside "for extended periods".

if increased wire to 50 meter , how much cost ?
