Very quick heating. You can set the temperature and the 'work output' which means how fast the room reaches the temperature you want. Higher work output means the room warms up faster to the temperature you need.If your room is really cold you can set the heating to 22 degrees then set the work output to high. Your room will reach 22 degrees very fast. If you set a lower work output your room will still reach 22 degrees but it will take longer.Timing function means you can set the heater to switch off, or switch on after a while (30 minutes to 24 hours).Five stars because there is live telephone help if you get stuck. I actually spoke to De Longhi when I needed some advice.Great Italian design, solid manufacturing and awesome heat.

I want to counter the unwarranted bad reviews. The heater is straightforward and quite powerful. It manages to heat high and large rooms in an old house on its high setting, something other heater fail to do. It doesn’t have frills but a selection of settings that allow for a good control of the heat in the room. It’s my first choice.

I do not normally write a review but i dislike incorrect information and lack of technical information !!The Fire arrived promptly and well packed .I purchased the heater to wall mount ,but there isno way of doing that ,there are no instructions,brackets ,clips, screws etc to do this.Only 2 plastic feet & 2 screws supplied.next problem , I was hoping to control the heater remotely via a smart socket outlet with timer function,cannot do that either, as soon as it is disconnected from the supply , the heater controls loose there memory and has to be reset manually ,so have had to install it in a hallway with feet on and use the inbuilt timer,this timer turns out to have a delayed start/stop function over a 24 hour periodJust one function -delayed `off` and or a delayed `on ` just the one shot!no way of setting a repeat cycle ie turn on early morning for 2 hours then repeat for the following day!Lastly the fan only operates on full heat, shame that it`s not running all the time on the lower settings for better heat distribution albeit on a lower speed !in conclusion now have a bog standard floor mounted heater that requires manually setting with a normal amount of convection heat ,unless i turn on full heat ,2 redeeming points it has an inbuilt thermostatand an ECO switch allows the heater to detect the appropriate power setting for the room via inbuilt thermostat, thus lowering the heat to keep a constant temperature and lower power consumption.given all the points above it is a good heat source if you dont require all the bells and whistles that i would have liked ,

Heats up nicely but to get the best experience you have to have the back facing you which is a bad design

Heater operates well but unfortunately had a small dent. Was this why it was reduced?As I urgently needed it I made the decision not to return it.

Easy to use

On the plus side, this kicks out a lot of heat at maximum setting, aided by the (quietish) fan.However, when the heater is turned on at the wall, it goes into standby mode and you have to manually turn it on, so using a smartplug is out of the question. It does have a delayed start timer, but you can't set this to repeat.The thermostat is useless. I set the thermostat to 22 degrees. As recommended in the instructions (to burn off that 'new/burnt plastic' smell) I left the heater on full blast for 15 minutes. When my wall mounted thermostat showed the room temperature as 21 degrees I turned the thermostat on the heater down to 16 degrees. The heater turned itself off for a few seconds then turned back on again, and resumed pumping out heat.
