It uses a standardized senna concentrate (derived from the senna plant), which makes it feel a bit more predictable than other stimulants. ​The Pros (What I Liked) ​Predictable Timing: It generally takes about 6 to 12 hours to work. If you take it at bedtime, you’re usually ready to go by morning. It doesn’t usually "surprise" you in the middle of the night. ​Gentler Than Bisacodyl: Compared to harsher stimulants (like Dulcolax), many find this much easier on the system. It’s less likely to cause that "emergency" feeling. ​Small Tablets: The pills are tiny and very easy to swallow, which is a plus if you hate taking large supplements. ​Vegetable-Based: For those who prefer plant-derived active ingredients, this fits the bill. ​The Cons (What to Watch Out For) ​Cramping is Possible: Even though it’s "gentle," it is still a stimulant laxative.
