This is a nice junction box. The waterproofing seal is really good.

The box is nice with a rubber gasket that seals the water out. There is a backplate for mounting your devices so you don't have to drill holes. On mounting the box to a wall or post, there are adapters that mount to the back that you can then screw to your mounting surface, again, not putting any holes in the box. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is the clasps or closures on the front -- they seem very flimsy and I expect them to break due to pressure and age. However, I cannot beat the price -- a comparable box at HD would have cost me about $50 (but of course, the closures would be screws, not plastic clamps).

Good quality, but requires drilling or use of a Dremel to create a way for wiring to go in/out. No instructions.

Holding up in the long term. I've had it outside in the sun for two years and it hasn't degraded, faded, or cracked.
